Supertramp's in my top 10, and way above Led Zeppelin. Come to think of it, besides toting we young teens to the Ghost concerts, I have to thank those college brother's of my best friend for introducing me to Supertramp's music too,! Them, Billy Joel, Peter Frampton... Hmmm. Funny, that was all from the "cool" brother of hers. The other unemployed, burnout brother liked Zeppelin, Kiss, AD/DC. Ding! A lightbulb just went off. I'm realizing how much someone can influence you at that tender age music wise. I'd better break off my son's friendship with these hairband worshipping kids now!!! I'm really worried the damage is already done though. He started out so well, he was playing a bit before he saw and met Seton Daunt from Fiction Plane. After a chat with him, he was obsessed w/playing beatles, Greenday, Good Charlotte ... pleasant stuff! Then those friends came along.... This reunion has me reliving scenes from the book of MY life! I never liked them either, but I did like Robert Plant when he first went solo. Saw him in FL and that was a great show. I guess I really don't like that heavy, whiny, screechy guitar noise! By THOMAS WHITAKER Showbiz Reporter LEGENDARY rockers Led Zeppelin are set to re-group after 22 years for a money-spinning stadium tour of America. The three surviving members Â singer Robert Plant, guitarist Jimmy Page and bassist John Paul Jones Â plan to hit the road next summer. The trio hope to pocket Â£6.4million for the shows. Robert, 54, Jimmy, 58, and 56-year-old John Paul met two weeks ago at the offices of their management firm Trinifold. They buried the hatchet over Page and PlantÂs 1990s tour, which John Paul only learned about from a newspaper. A band insider said last night: ÂIf the right offer comes up they will do it.Â Trinifold added: ÂJimmy is itching to do something, but there is nothing firm yet.Â Zeppelin split in 1980 after a booze binge killed drummer John Bonham. His son Jason is set to play drums on the tour. The band, famed for songs like Stairway to Heaven and Whole Lotta Love, are second only to the Beatles in worldwide album sales.
