So, not one person had any thoughts on Kipper. Very interesting. Do you think he is the person encouraging Sting to rely more on drum machines? Personally, that is one thing about his new sound that I could do without. KIM

True, they would have been sold, but only to people that checked the sting.com site. Ebay is checked by zillions of people daily (OK, I over exaggerated). I'm thinking it was a pretty inexpensive advertisement for the show, sting.com and the new fan club for those that don't check on Sting regularly. I don't feel bad about them doing that, it was for publicity, charity, and they'd hoped that the price would have gone higher, it didn't. By the way, did any one notice that those 4 Ebay packages listed for $224.70 each (including 2 Paris show tix and fan club membership) are winding down. The auctions closes on 2 of them on Sat morning (18 hours) and 2 on Sunday morning. None of them have any bids on them - we shall see. That would not be a very good showing indeed but perhaps they will get snapped up. Does anyone know how big a venue it is in Paris and if tixes are only on sale via fanclub or is their a box office availability as well. I thought I had heard Sting was going to do a concert in NY in the next month and I also thought there wa a Chicago date as well for some reason. Perhaps aroud the time he is doing the Today show. Hey guys, I just saw Sting on Top of the Pops; it was a great arrangement of Send Your Love, with some very cool playing from Dominic in particular. If this is an indicator of how they're going to sound on tour, then I'm happy. :) Now tell me, am I right in thinking that that was Vinnie playing the drums? I know they were recording something for BBC radio together today, so I guess they decided to bring him in for the TOTP appearance too. As for Kipper's impact on Sting's sound, I tend to feel that if BND has one fault, it's that it feels too slick. One last thing - does anyone know how long the fanclub pack is meant to take to arrive? I haven't heard of anyone having received one yet, presumably a result of the huge response (I remember hearing that the site had trouble coping the day people began signing up), but I'm also wondering where the stuff is being sent out from, because it strikes me that it might account for some of the price hike...
