This is just my personal opinion on this but, I dont think that whole situation really has a solution which can be imposed from the outside. You've got crazy extremist israelis which believe that god gave the jews that land (never mind that he also gave them iran, iraq, syria, lebanon, etc - all within the boundaries of historical israel. or that in the torah judaism basically forbids a religious state), and you've also got palestinians and arabs generally who wont rest until there is no israel (never mind that people have been living there now for 50 years and the israeli government is nominally the only democratic state in the region). These people are really the problem. Dont forget, too, people have been fighting over the so-called "Holy Land" for an obscene amount of time. First the babylonians conquered it, then the asyrians, then the egyptians, then the jews, then the persians, then the romans, then the christians, then the muslims, then the christians again, etc etc etc. The only way to solve that problem is for all sides to renounce their rights of exclusivity. mr doh Thrash (see/hear early orb) has a new label called Justablip. if you guys are like me, you might be excited to hear what he's been up to lately...unless he's poked you in the eye recently (60% of the list?) the site is up but there are no releases yet - some great stuff planned tho I expect you'll all enjoy. right now theres just some articles written by him but there will be music to download & forums & stuff. basically it's a half or less finished site, but you can get a taste now & hopefully come back for more later if you aren't too disappointed. FYI for digest subscribers - I sent the following to the owner of the mailing list: "The Orb digest seems to be on the fritz. It is sending out digests every hour or two, instead of daily. Getting a digest with 2 or 3 messages isn't much better than receiving every single e-mail. Can you fix it so that it really is a daily digest again?" Hopefully someone is still minding the store.
