I got to admit, I don't know what the hell is up with the first track of the new Orb, but the rest of it is pretty damned bumpin', to me! Come on! Hell's Kitchen, Gee Strings, L.U.C.A., Abstractions, Dilmun.... This album is damned solid if you ask me. It's a bit darker in flavor than past efforts, and no, it never gets to that Orby place where you think either your speakers or your mind are going to blow out, but I think it blows Cydonia out of the water. Cydonia was a damned train wreck compared to this one. My only criticism apart from that - the tracks don't flow together. Seamlessness is what makes the Orb great, but that's a question of editing, not content. And don't even think of telling me some of this stuff wouldn't sound great live! This album was built for the live treatment. Orb got lazy and tired? I "played" each cut (my computer downloaded it to the temporary folder before opening) and then copied it out of the temporary internet folder so I could hear the whole thing in order. A pain in the ass but worth it. It's a really good record. It's about time for an enlightening book concerning what really went on during this era......"Alex ORB Paterson: e-generation hero to capitalist pig (and all the swill that went with it). You could use the courtcase to publicize your new CD. Hey, at least you have writen and produced some damn fine stuff in your time, when you are waiting at the Pearly Gates and they find out you are the guy that produced Sunburst, Floating leaf, etc, etc, the heavenly trumpets will sound and all the naked virgins will run out to greet you, maybe if you are lucky they won't all be virgins,....... oops, sorry, getting carried away......... .....hey john bennett what's it like messing about with traktor DJ (by native instruments), while on shrooms? ok I'll shut up... back to work..................

the orb 'is' an open space - i aint heard the new album yet but i reckon its gonna make me feel confinded and like i need to come up for air!- im on mushys as i type this listening to OOBE from the peel sessions - man thats space ambient just f'in incredible - im mixing it with sum dirty drum n bass - and sorry gotta go.......... remix turn it up"" have the orb ran out of desent samples ? hav they drained the earth dry ......? ...naaa just kiddin! p.s sorry about the suposed 3 post's -- just my frigin computer thingy

Next time put the downloads in an html window so they can be downloaded. Flash is pretty and all but it still sucks for file transfer.
