Steve, I've done that a few times also. I did install bunk board guide boards in the middle of the trailer and the PVC type trailer guides at the aft end. It's like a corral, she lines up and goes in. Before I had this set up it could be a real struggle at times. Greetings to fellow Micro cruisers. I had the good fortune to go sailing yesterday in Amy Ann, our P-15. We live in middle TN, where it's been well below freezing for weeks. However, yesterday was sunny with highs in the 60's and a good breeze, so I played hooky and went! Old Hickory lake was marvelous, and full of bird life-cormorants, gulls, ducks, canada geese and great blue herons to name a few. What a stress reliever! Interior Wood Finish

I have a 1979 M-23. There are some streaks on the interior teak from previous water leaks. I have fixed the leaks, and now want to repair the teak. Someone out there knows the original process that was used or how to do this repair. I would apreciate some help with this. But if you really want to fix it I can think of a couple of possibilities: If you can reach it, perhaps you can dismantle the seacock in situ Or you could do what I did when I had a similar problem with a seacock that turned out to be sealed to the threads of the through-hull with 5200. Which is to grind away the outer lip of the through-hull so it could be pulled through to the inside of the hull. The down side of that is that you're looking at a new through-hull. Thru Hull Removal

I also have a problem with the valve on the marine head. It leaks and the holding tank empties when the boat is on the trailer. I tried to take it off, but it hits the bottom of the boat when it goes around (i already took the top of the valve off to make it shorter). The only way I can see to remove it is to remove the thru hull and unscrew the thru hull from the valve from below. Is there any other way to do this? What tool do you use to hold the thru hull from rotating. McAfee is fine. Also Norton Antivirus from Symantec. Being a computer user by force at work, I did mostly just whatever I needed to do to get the job done, T H E N, I found out that (after they put us onto the internet) that I could find out all kinds of interesting things, like who has Montgomery sailboats and who might have one to sell, and that there were all kinds of nice people out there that not only sail them but talk about them on their computers, that I have started to actually have fun on this thing as well. virus stopper

Hello Everybody, There has been some virus activity lately and it has prompted me to pass along a trick that I picked up somewhere. This won't stop you from getting a virus but it will help detect them and prevent you from unwittingly spreading them. Simply open your address book and create a new contact, name it !0000 ,give it no email address, then click ok. That's it! When the next nasty virus tries to send itself to everybody in your address book up pops an error message that says the message can't be sent because one or more recipients don't have a valid email address. You will be aware of the problem and nobody else will be infected. Simple and effective ( at least until some 10 year old figures out a way to get around it )! The days are getting longer. Get those projects completed. We'll be sailing again soon!!! Yippee! Mark Dvorscak
