New Photo sharing and question on new Catboat

Thanks to all that made the new photo sharing website possible. I have posted some things I have done and will post more once I have my boat back in hand (it's in storage now). Question Bob Eeg just posted pictures of a catboat 16 ft with a title of sloop or cat boat. I thought this was a pure catboat play. Anyway I envy its new owner Dan Phy who must be very well connected to Bob to get this prized project. I can't wait to read about Dan's experiences sailing this new boat. On another note I near retirement this year (+40 years or work) and look forward to more sailing and am looking to connect with fellow Chesapeake Bay Sailors who are near the Nations Capitol in hopes that we can do some sailing together. I am located in Kensington MD and typically sail the Mid bay at Sandy Point but I have a trailer and can travel. So if interested drop me a line please. Administrator, Well, one step at a time, I attempted to add some information I thought of after I posted the photos today but could not figure out how to do it, nor could I figure out how to put in a technical post. What am I missing? Am enjoying being able to look at what others have done and share my own ideas. Thanks for getting this photosite up and running. Tom B

May I recommend Don Casey's book? It has a wealth of useful light maintenance info, including a lot about getting really good results with the roll and tip method for 2 part polyurethane. Gail and I are in the "same boat". Our great foul weather gear was left in Colorado and we ended up soaked to the skin and very cold. Today's sailing will depend on weather. Thursday and Friday sailing was great. Lake pleasant is a nice place to sail. sal

You may think me a lightweight but I don't think I'll be sailing today. Yesterday was the most fun I've ever had while being wet, cold, and miserable, but there can be too much of a good thing. I'm going out in a minute to see about hauling out. Camping in the M17 has been tight but perfectly dry, warm, and comfortable. Right now though I'm wearing the last things I have that aren't soaked, and the washer/dryer is broken. If anyone is still upstairs in the camping area I may see you there.

Problem using search interface

Hi, I'm not sure who to write to, but the search interface on the Montgomery boats lists seems to be brokenhttps://mailman.xmission.com/lurker/list/montgomery_boats.en.html If you pick a topic and try to view it, an error comes up Lurker - failed to render page: Cannot open database snapshot (Permission denied): The configured database 'dbdir' in the config file could not be opened. Typically this means that it is not readable by the user which the cgi is invoked as. We suggest making dbdir and all files in it readable by everyone since you are serving them on a website anyways. Any Ideas on who to contact? Anyone else have this trouble?
