Dan: I spent my summers as a kid at that Lake. One thing I learned, from taking a dump on water skis in the middle of the Lake. It was "Look Ma, I can stand up in the middle out here". You just never know where the shallow sand bars will appear. You can always raise your "fin". Bruce King '84 M15

Sail Battens

Hello All, Has anyone out there an opinion on whether or not full battens area good idea for the M-15 main? What do you think Jerry? RTH.

Tim - The TIllerclutch is a fine piece of equipment - It does not require: large hole in your boat's deck, the use of a tiller extension, (and I have to say of all the tiller extensions I have used the FS adjustable tiller extension is a part that losses its ability to maintain a particular length quite rapidly) - This adjustable capability is needed for the tiller box to work. Try the Tillerclutch - a VERY well made piece of equipment. NFIW with the Tillerclutch folk - met them - nice people GREAT product. I will be buying one for my own boat -BTW- I am replacing my current FS adj. tiller extension as I write - mine is an unreliable extension - my favorite universal joint tho .......... Tiller locking

I am going to address the issue of being able to temporarily lock the tiller for whatever reason. I like the forespar lock box that is used with a forespar tiller extender. One negative right off is that I'm going to have to cut a sizable hole in my beautiful boat. I do like that system however. Second set of reef grommets M15

I'm sending my mainsail to sailcare for a stain removal. While my sail is there they will put a second set of reefing for $ 95.00. I sail on the Texas coast, near Corpus Christi. The average wind blows 15 but 20-25 happens often. I think maybe I just answered my own question. I'll have a second set of reef points while it's there. I would appreciate some feedback.
