Jerry, I'll gladly take you up on the offer if the date works out. FYI I'm planning on launching in Alameda / Grand St. ramp at Oakland Estuary on Friday morning July 7th for said tuning. Would you or anyone else like to meet there? I know there is a regular Wednesday group but I can't do Wednesdays. Thanks for the offer... if Folsom Lake works out better then that's fine. There are a total of four Montgomery sailors in the local area that I know of: Larry Hughston M15 Sacramento Bruce King M15 Fair Oaks Ed Whitehead M17 Rocklin and myself. Plus the Bay Area crowd, including Dan Phy, Jim Kirwan, and Mike Trueman (Dan's the only one I remember meeting). It sure would be great to have the M Boats out in force and make a great showing in Monterey. Neil Dorf (aka the Jeopardy guy) M15 #342 / Roseville ps I have no whisker pole. Do you have any ideas on how to fabricate a simple one from aluminum tubing?

Just to make the SCA cruiser challenge more interesting I am offering a free six pack of beer (your choice) to any M15 who can beat my M15 Gaff Cutter. Lets get those M15s out there :-) I don't think I am that good but I think the Gaff Cutter will make up for my racing deficiency. To be eligible you must notify me of your intent. Hi John, We have a booth space rented so we're committed. If the first boat isn't finished in time, we'll steal Jerry's prototype for the show. Hi Skip, The Sage 16 is now a Sage 17 (being 16'10", Jerry felt 17 was more appropriate). It doesn't look like we'll make the challenge this year. We're running about 3-4 weeks behind schedule. Hull mold is finished. Deck plug is finished and deck mold is being made now. Factory in Golden, Colorado is under construction. Currently seeking vendors and a boat builder. First showing should be Annapolis Boat show in October. Drawing should be up on the web-site in the next couple of weeks, which is also running about 4 weeks behind. Sailing again - Santa Cruz island

I am taking my first break from the AZ heat and will be working from a campground at Mission Bay and sailing Wednesday and Thursday Afternoons 6/30 and 7/1. On Friday 7/2 I am heading to Santa Barbara for an early Saturday launch. I am heading to Santa Cruz, Island Saturday 7/3, returning on Monday 7/5. Is anyone interested in coming along?
