Congratulations on your new M15. I had similar problems with my 1982 M15. When loading the boat on a trailrite trailer with the centerboard down, the cb lanyard can get wedged between the cb and the housing as the trailer pushes the cb up. I solved the problem by jacking up the bow and lowering the trailer tongue so the cb could drop free. It just takes a couple of inches. Thereafter, just remember to fully retract and secure the cb before loading. Launching with the cb unsecured can also cause problems with a trailrite. If the boat drifts off center, which can easily happen, the cb can drop and get hung up on the trailer frame. Then you have to reload the boat and try launching again. hi Doug & congrats on your boat. I had a similar problem and it was some debris, etc. It shook loose on its own. I'd take it out and it will probably drop loose. They sail with the board up about like a Compac 16. The board really isn't the ballast. Good sailing, Randy W. Your M15 is certainly sailable without the cb deployed Doug. You won't point as high and you'll make a little more leeway, but the M15's light cb has little affect on the boat's ability to stay on its feet. Hi Dick and listers. Dick's modified 12 volt winch works fabulous. I use to to raise the mast every spring. It bolts to a large pad eye below the traveler at the companionway. Always buy a boat that has been formerly owned by an engineer, the goodies that come with it are priceless.
