So I'm told... when the M-15 idea was concieved, it was Jerry Montgomery, who wanted to offer a smaller, quality cruiser that would sail respectively as well as the M-17 did. I'm told Mr. Hess didn't care for the idea and wasn't totally behind the construction of the M-15. I'm told the M-15 was then created as a drawn down M-17 by Jerry Montgomery and the rest is, as they say... history. Maybe this question should be answered by Jerry Montgomery. Or is the story well known and I'm the last to hear about it? M-17 Alina

One of the boats that convinced me I had to have a Montgomery was Alina. I looked at her when she was for sale in 2003. The MSOG still has her listed as Bob Campbell's 2001, M-17 and located in Lodi, CA. I know she's been sold to a SF bay area person for around 18K. I've seen her a couple of times while out in my Potter 15. Try as I may... for some reason I couldn't catch her...! Anyway, I took some pics of her that I'd like to add as an album at my web site. I'd like to acknowledge the new owner and get his permission to use the pics in a non commercial manner.
