i've joined this list to talk to other kraftwerk fans and to share my knowledge about them and their music- and also about their influences, but sadly there are some stupid assholes on this list, like this amir guy, who doesn't even know the term and the meaning of the word beatboxing and who has absolutely no clue about the true history of hip hop! all he and his ilk wants is to distract the list with his utter bullshit postings, which is a real shame! i have better things to do in my life than to fight such stupid assholes! sadly this list seems to be cursed with such sad individuals from time to time. no moderator, stupid assholes who only distract the list and the very obvious lack of knowledge about some plain (musical and historical) facts make it indeed very hard to enjoy such a list. therefore i'll quit it and leave you alone with the mess, as i'm simply not at all interested in such utter bullshit anymore! p.s.: if you have something constructive to say/reply, then please send me a private message, as i'll leave this list immediately after this message! goodbye! ..::=|X|=::..

I must be a *Ghost* Why am I being ignored? Can someone kindly explain what have I done to barred from this list? So this is the way it works!? I was under the impression I was joining a list created for Kraftwerk fans to be able communicate with those who wanted to discuss kraftwerk-related topics, I thought it would be nice to keep in-touch with others who share a common interest in music.

I discovered kraftwerk in a diffrent way, im probably one of the yonger members of the group (im 15) i basically barrowed my dads autobahn LP, loved it then bought all their other albums and countless bootlegs, i would say they are one of if not my favorite band.

"Commercial" Kraftwerk

Many people scoff at The Model as being nothing but a commercial vehicle. But that's how I and I'd bet many others discovered Kraftwerk. I think I saw the video on MTV in the days when they actually played music videos. I saw it once and had the rhythm in my head for years, but forgot the song name and artist. Then I found out it was Kraftwerk, but didn't catch the song title. So I started buying their records until I found it. Ended up liking everything they did. Computer Love, Neon Lights

I love the original Computer Love. I also think it's very beautiful. The Mix's version also is very well-done. I also love Neon Lights. The last five minutes are wonderful. Right now my favorite album is Man Machine. I also have a fondness for Radioactivity. I would sometimes fall asleep to that album...it's very soothing to me. Risking some major flames here, the only KW song I can't stand listening to is the original version of Robots. I think I overlistened to it years ago. I do like the Mix version, especially the Kling Klang mixes on the CD-single. Haven't written the list in a while, but have been reading it. Mike F. Somewhere in Ohio, USA
