Just had this in on the resonance list, Bill will be 'selling work' at the Foundry today to raise funds for Resonance. If you are our of range, you can listen to Resonance's Live Streaming Radio at resonancefm.com you might well catch Mr Drummond doing something. - Andy_R ----forwarded mail follows---- LOVE'S DIRTY RADIO Be there for Resonance 104.4FM..... All day spectacular Resonance Fundraiser at the FOUNDRY. (junction of Old St. and Great Eastern St. EC1, 1 min from Old St tube.) Resonance will be dipping in all day to broadcasts from the Foundry. During the daytime there will be live radio shows, and in the evening a fantastical happening. There will be buckets on hand to collect dosh. 100 cyclists will arrive during the day after a sponsored race across London, and will be happy to help out. Join in the Foundry chat show from 12.00 noon, followed by a live fundraising edition of Johny Brown's show at 1.00pm. Gavin Turk has donated a piece of work for our auction. He may be also be taking part in the day and evening's fun as may Bill Drummond, who will have work for sale. Don't mind what I said. I misunderstood your description. I do happen to have a scanned image of similar Coca-Cola advertisement. It talks about his trip to New York in 1963, and drinking Coke in a diner. It ends with the same "Bill Drummond, money burner" line. "There is no greater joy than soaring high on the wings of your dreams, except maybe the joy of watching a dreamer who has nowhere to land but in the ocean of reality." There was at least one Zodiac Mindwarp track that he produced around the late 80's early 90's. It should be in the discography... I think it might have been called "Prime Mover", or something like that. More that there was a continuity being followed - Drummond & Balfe (as Zoo) had released the first ever single by the Wild Swans, and this was their last. The card appeared in late 1997 if memory serves. Still got it somewhere in my collection. Picked it up in an arty bar in Manchester. Think it was Coke's attempt at reaching the gin & tonic drinking people of Middle England. Always wondered why Bill would write a piece for them. Maybe it was an excerpt from one of his other works and they thought they'd cash in on his genius. T

On the subject of the Wild Swans, I once worked with a guy who was a good friend of Paul Simpson's (he apparently lives up here in Scotland somewhere). One day my mate was visiting him, and came down for breakfast and found Bill Drummond sitting in the kitchen, reading the morning paper. Apparently, he was extremely nice, a bit like a "cool bank manager", but was upset that people still remembered him more for the KLF and the Teardrops, etc, rather than for his books and articles. Bill also presented Paul with a set of Kalevala singles during this visit. John Not Scots, just Scottish

Thanks for the link to the Williams Fairey website! On a different subject, a couple of weeks ago I managed to get hold of the "St. Petersburg Mix" of the Wild Swans' "Melting Blue Delicious", which was done by Bill Drummond and Dave Balfe in 1990. Does anyone know of any other remix work Bill did around that time without Jimmy Cauty? Also, why was the Wild Swans single not a KLF remix? Had Bill and Jimmy had a fall out or something? Hi. We're still working on this huge discography including nearly ALL the records & CDs from the written discog. But I'm still needing help with the scanning. If anyone (you'll surely be mentioned!) with a lot of original 'KLF Communications' releases has some time left please contact me! It's mainly 12inch labels that are missing.
