I wish there were more JAMs (non KLF) releases. :/ occasionally you'll find "who killed the jams" as a topic here - a recent one started off as a "go to sleep"/kurt cobain thing and "disaster fund collection" ended up in there as well I agree that it is a "top class LP" and I find it highly underrated (in other words, it seems under-appreciated by not only KLF fans but pop music fans in general - but then again, most KLF projects continue to remain under-appreciated to this day by the "pop"world) I personally find it more song-crafted and less gimmicky than "1987" - and not at all like a "b-side album" (admittedly subjective) perhaps the re-use of "candystore" by disco2000 "cheapens" it for some, but it's not as if the KLF aren't known for remaking songs over and over and over as far as the "charts" go: while both "1987" and "who killed" were "critical" successes (sounds mag gave both 5 stars) one gets the distinct feeling (especially after reading "the manual") that neither met with much chart success - part of the reason may have been that there weren't enough copies manufactured to allow it any real chance at chart success? (only conjecture, but might also explain why "who killed" remains so "unsung" today) the book "will pop eat itself?" MIGHT have a little more info about its charting (or lack of) but unfortunately I can't locate my copy of it tonight - anyone else have it handy?

I've only just listened to the massive remix of Aaliyah - "If Your Girl Only Knew" on the Stone Roses' "Fools Gold" rhythm. Well, I've only listened to it about 4x so far! This is huge. in this day and age ,would it matter if som1 burnt 10 million.lol sadam hussain burnt a million a day for quite a few days in the (i aint mentioning the war)first gulf War.and destroyed plenty of wildlife to.if som1 burnt a million today it probably wouldnt get a headline let alone be on the news...find som1 whos willing to burn 100 mill,thatl get some headlines.

i dunno man thats pretty cynical. in the best people i know just swap, especially when it comes to items out of the norm like what ya mentioned. Money was invented because traders kept getting robbed, now its used to fuck all sorts of things up and it would be a better place without it. I dont think the burning of the cash was on the news that much, i could be wrong but im sure they media werent sucked into it. It was broadcasted on the BBC late one night though. Its like what i mentioned about charity, yeah you could of given the money to the needy etc but your only buying a certain amount of happiness, because of the monetary system loads of people will always be homeless. a: what do you want to do S smoke weed and drink A how will you buy those things without money S I grow weed and my mate brews beer. why did they burn it? I dont know. But I think an interesting by product of it is that it outdoes all supposedly anti capitalist metal bands. Think about it, Rage Against The Machine complained about capitalism for 10 years, and in 55 minutes B&J made RATM's whole career redundant. The one thing that no human can truly live without is money and therefore the media chose to ignore the questions raised. Even the supposedly Gen X/Slacker mentality doesnt durvive without money. ha ha good question but im not scared of death! I think the people doing any charity work are great people but virtually all charities ingnore the root of the problem and without changing the way we live and the way we allow our lives to be run then these attricities will continue. We all have our role and destiny, Id just rather be leaving the planet with more stories than hey i got really stoned everyday while the world was going down the pan, it was great. i mean all this whinging on is all because that some people are postive about change and some people dont wanna hear it but its abit fucking sick when an email is sent hoping to discuss and spread information about the amount of peopophilia going on in the world, and all you get is fuck off this is not to do with the KLF blah blah blah. Whats the point in just keeping this information to sites which are dedicated to those things!? that way nobody new would be educated. If you disagree with whats being said just say why, thats a discussion, or ignore it which is youre right.
