hi, I have been ignorant of gg allin up until about twodays ago, just found out that hes buried in my town! Littleton N.H. This year is the 10th ann. of his death, his band is playing at the opera house here in town [which also doubles as the police station] Sound like a recipe for disaster? I am actually more interested in the culture clash of these small town northcountry folk with the types that will be drawn in by gg allin. "Brutality And Bloodshed For All" is pretty cool punk rock, but everything else I have heard from him has been very, very bad. Watch the film "Hated" and you will be filled in plenty. It's a great film To bring this slightly less "off topic", there was something I have been wondering about. In the covernotes for "Brutality And Bloodshed For All", it says the following: "The next task was getting GG's stuff together in one place - and getting him in the studio to record more. The studio was easy. Kramer, who's a sucker for a thousand dollars, set everything up at Noise New York (...) When GG burst into the studio, Kramer wondered twice wether it was worth the thousand. The singer hadn't washed his long hair in a year. He wore a skull and crossbones bandanna and carried a 2/3 empty bottle of Jack Daniels. During the recording/rehearsal GG broke a microphone by slamming it with his head. GG's music is the most ineptly played punk rock I've ever heard. VERY filthy, both musically and lyrically. But, it was played with tons of conviction, and that's what keeps me coming back to good ol' defunct GG. You definitely need to pick up his "Freaks, Faggots, Drunks and Junkies" album from 1988 (I think), as well as the "Hated" documentary DVD. Naked City Old Folks

Somebody pointed out that, indeed, the Naked City members are getting older, perhaps being the reason for not playing "Speedfreaks" at maximum speed (perhaps ten years of not playing and only extremely limited rehearsal was another??) Also I read a funny comment on the Ipecac board that apart from Patton the members looked "pretty old" (I guess he didn't know them before) Nevertheless, they still played plenty of "Torture Garden" tracks and it made me wonder: Who is the oldest musician to play napalm-blasts and grind core? I think Frith is 53 or 54 now. Is that the record?
