Should I pull the trigger?

In my impatient search for a Punch-Out I'm considering shipping in a game. How's this sound? Am I best to wait out the local market? The deal I'm getting from the guy is $600 with shipping included from New Jersey. Now, it's 100% functional, but the joystick is sloppy and the monitors both need to be capped. I'd probably also toss in new art, but it's not necessary. I figure I'd be around $700 total to have a new looking machine that plays well. The upside is that I'll have it now and I don't need to keep waiting out the local scene, but the downside is that I feel like I could get one for around $500 with a bit more patience. Decisions, decisions, decisions... Oh, and there's also the factor that my firstborn is due April 28th, so coming by the extra money after that point will be a bit harder as our days of a dual-income family will be ending.

Hey Sean, Sorry for the slow reply. I get the UTVGG mail as a digest. So I don't get them in a timely manner as the posts have to build up before the server sends the digest out. I think I can still piece a 6100 together if you need one, or at least repair yours. I just built a VectorMAME cab utilizing the Zektor ZVG card so that's why you see a lot of my games up on KSL. I want some space back and the ZVG drives a vector monitor so well I have decided to cut loose most of the vectors.
