OT - My job ends next month

I hope this message isn't out of line for this group. My job ends at the end of April. I am a Mechanical Engineer with about 10 years experience with field engineering of oilwell drilling equipment, and 10 years experience with industrial sales of metal cutting tools. I can operate a milling machine and lathe. I've developed a specialty of photographing art, jewelry, and industrial products. I'm open to part-time, full-time, and temp positions. Dave, thank YOU for always engaging me. I'm honored just to scrimmage with you. I'm Yesterday, someone too long removed from the academic side of astronomy to be sharp enough to really stay on top of it. I tell folks now that my hardware is "cutting edge" - for 1977! Same with the bulk of my 'knowledge' Im afraid. But it's kind of you to dance I must say. I still have my first "real" star atlas, epoch 1950! And when I got it, it was still closer to 1950 than 2000 and the only real thing in town besides Nortons that I knew of. (Yes, the rumors are true, I have a laminated Skalnate Pleso, laminated myself on the Granite District laminator decades ago, and I believe to be the FIRST laminated atlas EVER...). I'm just a Working Joe with a family and a mortgage and never enough time to relax at the eyepiece anymore. You are Today, and far more knowledgable than I. You and the other enthusiastic, energetic observers on this list. I love the observing reports, it sure takes me back to a galaxy long ago. Keep up the analyzing! Hey Chuck Your remarks got me wondering. How did you get enough distance between two shots to get any parallax? I don't remember how close Hale-Bopp got at closest approach, but I think it was a substantial fraction of an AU, wan't it? Did you pair up shots taken a few days apart? As of six pm tonight, the Kmart on Redwood Road and 4100 South had one all-aluminum rifle case left, on-sale for only $29.99, reg. $59.99. Has 2 latches, 2 locks and is fully padded on the interior, measures 5"x14"x53". Great for lots of things besides rifles, such as telescopes! But hurry, only ONE left! ...Chuck, i just realized that I can convince my brain to see receding craters in the image using either the cross-eyed or the relaxed-gaze method. That is only true for true stereo pairs and not the 'random dot' stereograms, ie, Magic Eye... I think it's much like the cube illusion...you can see the cube two different ways:
