Hi again Joe, I think the general take at the SLAS meeting was that this letter was from one person and not from the Stansbury community at large. Patrick actually had a number of factual quibbles with the letter, but I think Siegfried's feeling was that if you're going to eat crow you might as well get a good helping. My own feeling is that these steps are sufficient and we're OK as long as we make sure the events are well-publicized. Michael Thanks so much, Michael. I was a little surprised to hear about Stansbury because the observatory makes the development so wonderfully attractive for visitors and residents. But now I wonder if it would be a good idea to have a Stansbury Park Appreciation Star Party, with the residents specially invited. Hiya Joe, Here we go... Lots of well-deserved kudos to the people who'd worked hard on astronomy day and for the dedication. Siegfried read a letter of complaint from someone from Stansbury Park about the residents not having been mentioned for their financial support. Siegfried jumped on that and has published a letter of apology (which he also read) and will speak to the Stansbury Park governing body today. I think that will head off any ill feelings that may possibly have arisen. We also saw a video of speakers at the dedication. That was great for people like me who couldn't be there during the day on Saturday. When Jake Garn spoke, it certainly made me wistful for the days when Congress had more people of real accomplishment. Coming from outside of Utah, I was only aware of his Senate career. It was quite enjoyable to learn a little more. And of course a minimum of regular meeting stuff. Hope this is enough to prepare you for the exam. SPOC Last Saturday Night Question

Can anyone give me the name and contact details for the people who were doing the embroiderd t-shirts? I payed for one and intended to pick it up on my return in the evening but they'd left by the time I could make it back. My son and I got our photo in the Deseret Morning News with the Big Grim. Nice photo but they spelt David as Davis and didn't even mention my sons name - can you believe it! Cheers David
