Charlie Green is right!! Daylight Savings time starts on the FIRST Sunday in April not the last. Legislation changed it from the last to the first Sunday in 1987. Google tells all and I must be stuck in a time warp. Beryllium is lighter than aluminum as well as lighter than glass and has a 1/3 higher modulus of elasticity than steel. The Spitzer telescope is in an earth FOLLOWING orbit that is taking it slowly away from the earth in nearly the same orbit around the sun. Jupiter tonight

Anyone else observing Jupiter tonight? Just back from a session on the Big Scope with some other B S trainers in training where we all agreed Jupiter was incredible. It's fun to see so much color in the bands but the most impressive thing was the GRS. Easier to see than I've ever seen it before. Patrick

Patrick, For those of us not yet in the BS Group, do you have any pics of Jupiter to share here? I bet the view of Jupiter is incredible in the new scope!!! Thanks Guy (and Roger). I'm sorry to have soured the mood here. Look, I don't harbor any hard feelings towards Ziegfried; I really like him in fact. And I'm truly sorry for his loss (I had no idea). I just prefer to have folks straight up about what's up. And I've already volunteered to Ziggy about finding a speaker for an upcoming meeting. I'll apologize ahead of time to the rest of the list members here for spouting off, but your actions are hardly those worthy of a club president Siegfried. If you or a delegate haven't arranged for a speaker, just say so. My time is too valuable (and I suspect that's true for most club members) to be playing semantics games. It would be awfully nice to know, for all the reasons Rich indicated. A long day at work can knock the stuffing out, and sometimes it takes a bit of extra effort to drag the old bones to a meeting. Suspecting that the meeting has no real plan, it's awfully easy to decide in the negative. I'd be disappointed to learn after the fact that I'd missed something good. -------- Well, Rich, I would say that the lack of response would indicate that nothing is planned for tonights meeting. I believe it would be in the interest of the members of the club to be able to get a responsible answer to a legitimate question, but I guess we are in a minority. I am disappointed that the there was no response to your post, and no serious response to mine.

Ditto, here as well!!! Since the meeting site has moved, and I come from the exact oppostite, extreme diagonal in the valley, it is now very difficult for me to get ot the meetings in time and make it home at reasonable time. I understand it is a wonderful location and parking is great, but for me it is almost impossible to make except on very special events/occasions. I really enjoyed the meetings but harder for me to get to the new location. So, for me to make major schedule changes, I too, would like to know the topics/presenters before I ask to leave work early.
