Info on upgrading to v.92 pls
Maybe someone on the list can help me out. I'm researching on what needs to be upgraded to be v.92. Currently I'm at TCS ver 4.2 on our TC 1000. I've spent some time on the Commworks site but was not successful. The cards that are in chassis are 14 DSP's that are at 2.1.85, 2 Hiper Arcs one is a 128M and the other is a 64M both at 5.0.9, lastly the NMC is at 7.1.8. If someone has the link or the info on what needs to be upgraded please send me an email. Thanks, -Brent
Not sure if you got any help yet or not but I used these steps-klt Note: Before you start, if your chassis code is older than System Release level 4.3 upgrade to TCS 4.3 first, do not go directly from older release levels to 4.5. Run an Inventory on your chassis then view the RAS/EDS Software Compatibility Matrix at http://totalservice.commworks.com < http://totalservice.commworks.com> If you have questions, call tech support. User End 1.) End user must have a V.92 modem and have the feature enabled. 2.) End user must have Call Waiting service with their telephone company. Note: Applicable MOH applet needs to be installed on client PC which would work with either terminal or PPP session as follows: Hardware Software USR V.92 modems Internet Call Notification Conexant HCF Netwaiting Agere/Lucent LTMoh ISP 1.) Chassis is at System Release level 4.5 including TCM and or CEM 2.) Click on card level of HiPer DSP 3.) Configure/Programmed settings 4.) X on Template 1 and OK 5.) Parameter Group = V.92 Configuration (by default, all V.92 parameters are disabled) 6.) V.92 Master = Enable 7.) V.92 Modem On Hold = <choose timeout duration> (1 minute minimum) 8.) You may also select to enable PCM Upstream, Quick Conn Phase 1 & 2 as well. 8.) Set/OK 9.) To enable V.44 Compression, Parameter Group = Data Compression Settings / V44 mode to enable 10.) Set/OK 11.) Parameter Group = Call Control Options 12.) Response to +++ = IgnoreEscCode 13.) Set/OK 14.) Still at the card level, now choose Configure / Action Commands 15.) Hardware to Software -> Save Template 1 Config to NVRAM - Execute 16.) Then choose -> Refresh Template 1 Config Channels - Execute 17.) Then choose -> Save Both T1/E1 & Modems to NVRAM - Execute 18.) Hardware Reset the card. 19.) Verify V.92 configuration after the reboot completes. -----Original Message----- From: usr-tc-admin@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:usr-tc-admin@mailman.xmission.com]On Behalf Of Brent Crier Sent: Friday, February 14, 2003 3:20 PM To: USR-TC@mailman.xmission.com Subject: [USR-TC] Info on upgrading to v.92 pls Maybe someone on the list can help me out. Hello, I was looking at one of the emails from Kevin Tucker about Info on upgrading to v.92 pls. I am curious as to how one knows what System Release TCS Version that is being used on one's chassis/system? I have a HiPer Arc Router Card that is running 5.3.3 They HiPer DSP T1 cards are using 3.5.12 and the HiPer NMC is using 8.6.3 I have printed of the TCS Matric page from http://totalservice.commworks.com I was also curious how one finds out the CEM version? Thanks for everyone's help. jim Re: [USR-TC] Info on upgrading to v.92 pls Kevin Tucker wrote:
