Anyone figure out why ALL modem failure reasons are always 0? enterprises.usr.nas.mdm.mdmCs.mdmCsTable.mdmCsEntry.mdmCsConnectFailReason.1 = 0, The reference chp 24 "Modem Disconnect and Fail to Connect Reasons" starts at drtDrop(1) and is only for the Quad modems???? (usr-tc) Interface load SNMP data on Netservers?

Sooo...to explain the inevitable question about why using a Netserver rather than ARC's for this... I tried PRIME on HiperDSP/ARC for ISDN. Beyond some really strange behavior whereby ISDN customers w/two channels would be admin reset about every 2 minutes, figured out that using TSMON for ISDN and modems together would be pretty much impossible with the way TSMON works and way ARC's show user connections anyway. Oh well. I've put the PRIME (for ISDN only mind you) on a chassis with Netserver, Dual T1 card. Workin' like a charm. But, we'd desire to get byte flow information from the individual interfaces, as we do via PM*'s, and actually no problem with ARC's, but just can't seem to get much of any SNMP response from Netservers even though SNMP is turned on. Any ideas? Zat just the way it works? In the next release of Netserver code? (joke..I make joke...I know I know already..) Thanks! (usr-tc) ARC flash going bad

We've had a problem in the past two days with our flash going bad in our HiperArc unit. Is this indiciative of a failing card or is there perhaps another issue we can look into. This happened two evenings ago, and just about an hour ago this morning (Wednesday). (usr-tc) DNIS not working on PRI

We are using Bellsouth provided PRI's in 6 different cities and cannot seem to get DNIS information sent to us over many of them. Modems are DSP 2.0.81 and DualPRI 3.1.5 on ARC 4.1.59-6. I haved talked to them on many occasions but cannot seem to get anywhere. What should I look to first? The DSP/DPI cards are set at factory defaults and there is no difference in code/settings between city1 and city4 but one works?! Looks like telco to me but I would like to know if over PRI anything else needs to be checked on my side. Any ideas? Yeah, same here, some root servers know about a domain, some don't. They seem out of synch. What we've seen the last couple days has been attributed to folks not paying the internic bill. Go figure, they want you to pay to play :) This being my most technically capable mailing list :), I thought I would ask this off-topic qustion. Has anyone else observed problems with Internic the last few days. Root servers are timing out, domains are being dropped off the servers. We had 20 domains yesterday that were just gone from the root servers that we complained to Internic about. Today, the list is down to five. Our support people have heard from people of many domains that have been unreachable the last couple days. Seems like these widespread problems would have been headline news. (usr-tc) NFAS on DSPs

I just swapped out a dual PRI card and a set of quads for two DSPs and I'm trying to do NFAS. The telco sees the D channel up and the channels are all supposedly up and idle but the second card is reporting the D channel is down. Is this normal since the D channel is on the first PRI span or does it indicate a problem? At first I had the NFAS ID wrong on the second DSP. When I brought it up, it was reporting all channels were in service and idle. I thought that was rather strange and I knew it was wrong since I verified this with the telco. I set it to the correct value, rebooted the card, and it is still reporting all channels in service and idle. I'm still waiting on hold to get the switch techs to try putting some channels into IMB and see if I see them go out of service on this end (which, to me, would indicate that the second card is getting the signalling information ok) but surely there's an easier way to see if signalling is getting to the second card or not... Hi, I would like to find out under what circumstances do the Hiperarc (with HiperDSP cards) send out accounting stop packets with the attribute Acct-Terminate-Cause set to Lost-Carrier. Is this terminaate-cause send only when the HiperDSP modems detect a loss of DCD (carrier) before a LCP termination packet is received ? Or are there other circumstances under which the HiperAARCs will send a RADIUS stop packet with this terminate cause? Any advise will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
