The passwords are your SNMP community strings. If you flip dipswitch 6 on, you will bypass the password screen. You can then disable the password prompt or change the strings. (usr-tc) Adding Hiper DSP to Netserver/Quad modem chassis

I have an older TC chassis with T1/PRI, Quad modem, Netserver PRI, and NMC cards, and two 45amp power supplies. The Netserver and NMC have 16mb ram added (total of 20 I think, the cards have 4mb on board if I remember). I saw a posting to the list indicating that a Hiper DSP card could be added to the chassis as long as the modem density was set properly in the Netserver card for the slot that the Hiper DSP card occupies. Does anyone know if certain versions of software are required in the Netserver and/or NMC to work with the Hiper DSP? I haven't upgraded the software in those cards for quite some time since the chassis works great (except for the occasional modems that won't answer--requires a chassis reset every 60 days or so) and my customers get great x2 and v.90 connects (I use the box myself and usually get a 49333 with the occasional 52000 and 53333--amazing considering we're using channelized T1's with AMI/D4 on this box). If anyone is running a Hiper DSP in a TC chassis similar to mine, I would appreciate feedback on what software versions you're running and how the box has performed after adding the Hiper DSP. (usr-tc) Strange SSL Problem

Hello: One of our users has reported a strange problem, and I can not figure it out for the life of me. We have two modem banks serving different geographic areas. If he calls his local number, he can not connect to web sites using SSL. If he dials our other modem bank (long distance for him), SSL works just fine! He's tried with both IE and Netscape. I can not re-create the problem. I've dialed into both modem banks and got SSL connections just fine. One rack is a TC Hub, quads, NMC/NSC. The other is a TC HiperArc/DSP. The Hiper is the local rack for him.... the one having the problem. Both racks point at the same router as the gateway, so this has me totally baffled. Any suggestions on where to look? We haven't had any other users complain, and his problem goes away by calling a different modem bank. Strange. Thanks for any help. Hi All! I'm trying to assign addresses from different pools to users in different groups on one HARC. I would prefer Radius to make the decision which user gets what address so I found USR VSA reply attribute - Framed-IP-Addr-Pool-Name. Getting no help from manual I assumed that this is for telling Harc what pool to use. Great! Attribute works to the point where I can see that the user who's connected to HARC had a right pool name assigned (can't remember exactly how I established that fact, probably with "show session user" command) but the actual IP address from pool will not be assigned to that user. While I'm at it (finding out how to make this work) I hope You'll not be angry if I fire a couple of questions to the honorary list? Has anybody done this? Care to share step by step configuration with me? Harc product reference tends to be quite superficial with ip pool info other than setting them up. BTW, seems that this is not the only issue about what that reference is superficial about. I have had rough time getting useful info from there or for example at least decent descriptions for cli commands - is there any point to offer such half done document where feature/command descriptions are missing? 3com - any comments? And I'm not using reference material for old software - latest I could get from totalservice. One other thing. It seem that I've "attached" some IP pools to default user but I can't figure it out how I did it. I can see those pools when I do the "show user default" but how to add them or delete - beats me! Found no help from Harc command reference... Any help appreciated. No, But if you have accounting requests that are being retranmitted to a bad address even after putting in the correct accounting destination, you might have to reboot to get rid of them.
