Hi--
I just moved off my final Dual PRI/Netserver (yeah!), and in the move, I've
found that a goodly number of my ISDN customers can only make 56k (analog?)
calls - 64k calls are rejected. Yet others ARE able to make 64k calls no
problem.
Sample size, Livingston office router, Netopia R3100, in both cases 56k
connections.
Yet, same types of equipement, 64k connections.
I'm using 1.3.7 on the DSP.
Can anybody give any hints of where I can look/testing I can do to figure
this out?

My Application is quite simple, I need dialup support for an initial 60
ports modem and ISDN, service will be delivered over E1 PRI's and ideally I
would like to have my backhaul to my main POP to be run by the total control
box it would need to connect to a CISCO on a 128k or 256k leased circuit.
What do I need to achieve this in terms of TC hardware and what concerns do
I need to have re: release versions ?
I'm thinking of buying second hand, is this likely to provide issues ?
What are the issues with v.92 on the TC boxes ?
Would it be simpler to just run a Cisco to Cisco connection for backhaul ?
Thanks
Damian

Does anybody know of a way to find the status of a specific bug on the
commworks website? In particular I'm trying to find out whether bug ID
MR12019 has been resolved in the latest HiPer ARC code. The release notes
don't mention it at all.
Does anybody have a copy of this software, my copy is corrupt and I need to
re-install to manage my ARC. My contract expired and I'm not to keen on
renewing just so I can get this archive.
Please email direct, I'm on the digest version of this list.
Thanks!

Brian,
I know Netserver 16's run ComOs (Portmaster code) and Netserver16+ runs
pilgrim (ARC code). It is possible to make one into the other. Not sure of
the availability of the code as Netservers are long EOL'd.

Steve,
If your Telco supports call-waiting (which you activate with a "flash" of
the hook switch), you should be fine. That's all that is happening...you
flash the hook switch (via the v.92 MOH control panel) and your modem will
go into a re-train type of state. When you do another "hook switch flash",
your modem will retrain and connect back up. Kind of sneaky/tricky...not
rocket science.

Subject: [USR-TC] V.92 and Teleco
Does the teleco need to support anything special in order for us to support
V.92. Assuming I have all the hardware, all the firmware upgrades for V.92,
am I still limited to V.90 by my teleco?
The reason I'm asking is because of the increased upload speed, seems the
reason for the limited upload speed on V.90 was due to CO limitations.
Also what about internet on hold features? Does it have to be supported by
the CO?
V.92 may not be worth upgrading to if my Teleco does not support this stuff
=). We use PacBell in N. Calif.

Does anyone know how I can set up one Hiperarc to dial into another one with multiple channels so I can route across the connection? I'd be dialing out from PRIs and into channelized T1s. Thanks.
