I have a few questions that I'm hoping someone can quickly answer. The first group is, I have a TC chassis with 4 HiPer DSP's and one 70 AMP PS. I would like to put an additional 2 DSP's in this chassis. Will the one PS do the trick, or do I have to install another PS? How many DSP's can I run off of two 70 AMP PS? At what point do I have to switch the PS's to 130's? The second group of questions is, I have a TC chassis, NSC card with 8 MB DRAM and 2 MB Flash, NMC 4 MB DRAM and 2MB Flash, 12 A/D Quad's running in Analog mode, no V.90 license and two 45 AMP PS's. I want to add one HiPer DSP. Will the DSP be able to answer V.90 calls without the V.90 license installed? Do I have enough memory in the NMC and NSC to be able to handle the Quad's and DSP? Can someone tell me where the list archive is? I'm also looking for MRTG scripts that will work with the TC's, can someone point me in the right direction? Hi, After using quad modems for about 2-3 years for POTS connections I have recently installed some HiPer DSP's for some clients who would like digital connections. I downloaded the code from the Total Service web site only to find instead of the usual .nac and .sdl file (which I am used to) I find a .dmf file and no .sdl When trying to update my firmware I find that TCM will not accept the Software download without a .sdl file. (usr-tc) Still having problems with default routes disappearing

Last week I mentioned that I have been having problems on several of my chassis with the default route just disappearing. To this date I have still not found a cause for this abnormal behavior. I am almost positive it is not a configuration issue although I am still open to any suggestions as far as that goes. This problem just started occuring about a week ago and it does not recur with any sort of pattern. I am running 4.2.32-1 on the ARCs. I am also running OSPF on the chassis now but I don't think it is a direct OSPF problem. The things ran flawlessly for several weeks with OSPF routing and 4.2.32-1 before I started having this problem. Has anyone been having any sort of odd problems with OSPF or 4.2.32-1? I would really like to get this resolved and I am at a loss right now. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated... What is this command (in 4.2.x) "set modem_group all prompt_timeout"? Its not in the 4.2 Command Reference. I can make a guess at it, but if its what I'm thinking, it would be the same thing as prompt_delay. (usr-tc) 3Com SA Server Event Logging

Hello: We are currently testing 3Com's SA Server 6.09 on Windows NT 4, SP5. So far we have Authentication and Accounting working as we need it, except as noted below; however I seem to be missing something with the Event Logging. I have no problem getting connection info from the NMC, but what we are in need of is a log of Successful Logins, Failed Logins and Security Breaches. I have those features seemingly enabled via the Database Manager, but no info is being logged. I gather from the manual this info should be written to the Events table. Accounting info written to the Calls table is no problem. I would like to have the desired information available to our help desk via queries from the Event table. Any ideas? We have TC hubs with Netserver and Arcs, as well as old Livingston PM3's and Ascend Maxen. Also, concerning the Maxen, we cannot seem to authenticate through SA, only get accounting info. USR only released ethernet NIC support for the EdgeServer PRO on Unix. There is a NIC driver for Solaris 2.6 and a NIC driver for BSDI 3.0. There were never any packetbus drivers released for unix. Hello, I have hardware without soft on my table and access on totalservice.usr.com. I haven'd found anything about UNIX installation. Does anybody organize the Edgeserver installation with Solaris (or any other version)? Where can I get information about this case and where I can download drivers for packet bus (serial ports)? What does type of ethernet NIC Edgeserver use? Hrmm...was browsing through the 4.2 Harc product reference and noticed something...there is the following note: A HiPer ARC may only be set as the LAC. It can not be set as an LNS.... I'm curious...I went back into the 4.1 config guide and this language was not in there that I found. Has this functionality been removed in 4.2? I know it works in 4.1.59-6 'cause I'm using it on one of my Arcs. It would really suck if it was gone in 4.2. :) I did check my system that I have running 4.2 as a testbed, and the "enable l2tp lns" command is still there, and it *seems* to still enable the actual lns functionality (though I don't have an easy setup to test this out at the moment).
