[BBTC Ride_calendar] What's Happening this Week!!
Hey BBTC!! Let's Ride! We have another GREAT line up for the week. The only thing missing is Mary Margret's beginner / recovery ride tonight, but if anyone still wants to do the ride, let me know, I will be happy to lead the group. Of course the ever popular Emigration ride with Penny is on Tuesday or for those in the south end of the valley, Craig's Sego Lily ride has received many compliments so far. Wednesday is the last day to climb Millcreek with Malcolm before they open the whole canyon to car traffic, this is a must do kind of ride. Or join Shelly for a nice leisure ride along the Jordan River Parkway. Morning person? Do the wake up ride with the Levenson's. For those of us to the north, John's got a new series going, "Monday Mountain Madness" check it out or maybe ride around Bear Lake with his wife Linda and him as they celebrate 24 years of togetherness "Happy Anniversary". And the "So You Want to Ride a Century Series" continues with a 60 miler on Saturday following some of the ULCER route and the Super series rides on Tuesday with the Taterville 100. Want to go off road, come ride the mid mountain trail with me on Sunday. I rode it last week and it's in great shape! It's a tough climb up but not technical and then it's a fantastic ride with a fun downhill at the Canyons and on Monday it's a great trail in Millcreek to get the feel of off-road riding. Much of the trail is smooth hard-pack dirt. But the narrowness, exposure to steep hillsides, and occasional tricky terrain make it an intermediate technical trail. Much of the trail is shaded cruising through the woods, while the western third is exposed to wind or heat on steep slopes. Except for the descent into Burch Hollow (about 600 feet vertical), there isn't much elevation change on the Pipeline trail. Meet at: Drive 3.5 miles past the fee station. Park near the gate 1/4 mile past the Burch Hollow trailhead.
