Wow! A corollary of the story is that using a bike path is typically more dangerous than biking smartly on most streets. (Cf. John Forester's writings, johnforester.com) Several of the dozens of online comments made that point. Others claim that the helmet was run over while off his head, or that just its tail was run over. Still, very impressive picture.
