The tour site pointed me to a torrent site at dimeadozen.org, which is a bit stunning in the volume of what it has. Live recordings, interviews, and videos. I found a DVD mastered with not only the Whisky and the Grammy's, but also the Hall of Fame inductions in 2003. I will eventually mirror what I can, but if you don't want to wait, I suggest signing up to dimeadozen.org directly. It may reject your attempt, but keep trying and you'll get an account.
That is a great site, and there is a ton of boots(lots of Police too) on it, but it limits the amount that you can download. I forget what the limit is, I think 5gigs. The catch is that you have to upload shows too, and then the amount that you can download is directly proportional to how much you upload. I haven't had too many shows up until recently, so I was shut-off a while ago, because I had nothing to upload that people hadn't already posted. It's a great site if you have a lot too offer, but not so great for beginning collectors... So, enjoy it while you can and good luck getting an account too. It can take a while, since they limit the number of accounts.... Actually, the trick with dimeadozen.org if you're just starting there is to just download a couple popular, newly added shows, then leave them available for sharing for a while (if it eats up too much of your bandwidth just run the torrents overnight or whenever you're not using the computer.) You don't need to bring anything "new" to the site if you don't have it, just contribute to uploading bandwidth in general and get your share ratio (upload/download) over 1.0 to be in good standing. It's only good trading karma anyway :) sockii
Hmmm, well that does sound like a good way to do it. Never thought about that.... I do believe in good trading Karma and certainly don't like to take and not give... sockii <sockii@earthlink.net> wrote: On May 29, 2007, at 11:39 PM, Steve Langele wrote:
