Either that, or he simply has the money for these vanity projects and chooses to do them. I didn't care for Sacred Love, the lute album or the winter album. They just weren't the style of music I like. Same with the upcoming orchestra music. I don't listen to orchestra music now. I'm not sure why I would start just because it's Sting. Yeah, sure, I love the songs. But if I want to hear them, I will listen to the originals. And why the extra vocalist? How many of the songs is she going to sing? I especially don't want to hear any Police songs in symphony style. Some Sting songs (Russians, FOG, Fragile) will probably translate well. It's just a "language" I don't care to hear. I will probably pass unless the reviews are soooo stellar that I feel like I'm missing out on something unprecedented. From the press release about the tour:
"Selections will include fan-favorites such as 'Roxanne', 'Next To You', 'Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic' and 'Every Breath You Take', to notable songs from Sting's enduring solo career - 'Englishman in New York', 'Fragile', 'Russians', 'If I Ever Lose My Faith in You', 'Fields of Gold', and 'Desert Rose.' " Personally...I find the choice of 'Next To You' interesting to say the least.... Bye! Hilary On Fri 26/02/10 11:06 AM , David dripdry@gmail.com sent:
Interesting. You mean to say there might be orchestrated Police tunes? I'm not sure how I feel about that, but would like to hear opinions.

However this one is a bit of a different one. I saw him at one of the Winter shows and think wow this guy just loves to tour and play. It is amazing and he certainly is a hard worker. And for that I am glad. I think back at all the different tours in past 6 years or so including the Broken music tour etc. I sure hope the tixs arent too much. Also, not sure how exciting this will be. Is there an album of orchestra versions down the road coming out? Or will it not include Police songs as the other guys may not go along with the idea?
