I think Sting has writer's block and has had it for quite some time. Either that, or he simply has the money for these vanity projects and chooses to do them.

I didn't care for Sacred Love, the lute album or the winter album. They just weren't the style of music I like. Same with the upcoming orchestra music. I don't listen to orchestra music now. I'm not sure why I would start just because it's Sting. Yeah, sure, I love the songs. But if I want to hear them, I will listen to the originals. And why the extra vocalist? How many of the songs is she going to sing? I especially don't want to hear any Police songs in symphony style. Some Sting songs (Russians, FOG, Fragile) will probably translate well. It's just a "language" I don't care to hear.

I will probably pass unless the reviews are soooo stellar that I feel like I'm missing out on something unprecedented.

From the press release about the tour:

"Selections will include fan-favorites such as 'Roxanne', 'Next To You', 'Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic' and 'Every Breath You Take', to notable songs from Sting's enduring solo career - 'Englishman in New York', 'Fragile', 'Russians', 'If I Ever Lose My Faith in You', 'Fields of Gold', and 'Desert Rose.' "

Personally...I find the choice of 'Next To You' interesting to say the least....

Bye!
