i was trading e-mails with my amigo markie today, when something occurred to me. on the heels on what went down at the super bowl, let's hope that wasn't a warm up of things to come. i refer to a piece of R&R HOF induction ceremony folklore from 1994. that year, the band was inducted. eric clapton, the biggest fan they ever had, did their induction speech. when it came time to perform, clapton stayed on stage and performed with the band. he did it at the request of his friend/band-head hancho robbie robertson, who is loathed by the rest of the group, still to this day. when they finished, clapton and robertson exited quicker than you could say "music from big pink", leaving levon helm and the rest flat-footed on stage. will this happen this year? will sting invite gwenie to remain on stage and duet some more? stay tuned (and don't be surprised!!!!) rich __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? "Did anyone notice that Sting might possibly be growing out his hair somewhat? Perhaps almost Synchronicity-era hair? Maybe it's just me, but I have a good feeling about this." I think that has to do with him going bald. Soon Mr. Sting will have to do a comb-over. I was more excited to hear Sting sing Message more like the Police version rather than his solo version. He could have came out in a Barney suit for all I cared besides, I was watching Gwen while listening to Sting. She has one tight stomach!

Hello fellow listees! Just a thought: Did anyone notice that Sting might possibly be growing out his hair somewhat? Perhaps almost Synchronicity-era hair? Maybe it's just me, but I have a good feeling about this. Unfortunately missed the performance. Would there be any sites that any of you know of where this could be viewed? It can be found on eBay tho on CD, its not that expensive and not incredibly in demand. Or do what I did - look around at used CD places. I found a copy for $5.99 at a local Cheapo in good condition a few years ago. Backstage requirements

I ran across this by accident...pretty neat website. Anyway, they have the backstage requirements for all these different acts, Sting included. Some are pretty funny, others are downright ridiculous. But hey, if you're rich and famous.... I thought I'd post the link to Sting's demands. This was his 2000 tour. His requirements are fairly tame compared to other acts but I thought it was still interesting. No, he didn't play on GMA, it was just Sting, the host and No Doubt talking about the rehearsing they were doing ... there goes that theory that they didn't rehearse!!! I kind of liked the fact that Sting didn't do his "perfect, same performance"! I loved his energy and you gotta give them credit, they didn't lip synch like Shania! I second that!!! It was great. I think Gwen did a pretty good job, I think it's difficult for women to sing with him, too low, wrong key, something. Anyone have an explanation on the sewn together shirt? As I'm not exactly a fan of sports, did it have anything to do with either of the teams? I thought Sting was OK at halftime, his voice seems great as always, though the seemed a bit unrehearsed, like they hadn't played together before. They were making up harmonies on the fly, and did a decent job, but definitely some notes the fubbed. Just seemed a bit rusty, and I heard sting showed up late, so they probably didn't get a chance to rehearse their parts. I'd much raher hear him with Andy and Stewart! Gwen sure was trying to get his attention with those hip gyrations, though! Yowza! Did STING play on Good Morning America? Wasn't that in NYC? How was it?
