that made you curious, didn't it? I just watched the ALIEN Director's Cut yesterday. There was a scene with Ripley and the android inside "Mother". When she tried to get out one could clearly see the back of her overall. It was the same kind that Sting wore on most of the 1978/1979 concerts! Just a darker grey. Dietmar

Sting, Broken Music and the Today show this morning

I can pretty much say I only turn the TV on in the am maybe 2x a year... (unless there's something I know I have to watch). This morning was one of those days that I turned it on by chance and had the right channel on. Some weird psychic moment for me! The interview that Katie and Sting did at the Boathouse in NY (the weekend of his bday and Hammerstein) was broadcast today. He spoke of his mother quite a bit and what a "strange bird" she was, but that she brought life and music to the house. It showed a few photos of Sting and Trudie's wedding w/their 4 kids all clad in kilts, one photo of his mom and dad. I know several posts have gone out saying there are no photos in the book, but I can't help but wonder why the ones aired aren't. Wish I could remember all the details. I was running around trying to find a tape to stick in the VCR. Michelle in TX

Hi in my effort to get all the POLICE photos in chronological order I need some translation help from France. There was an article in the magazine BEST 183 in October 1983 with photos of Stewart taken in a hotel in Paris. The text just gives one hint for the date these photos were taken. "Feu à volonte, "Synchronicity", le cinquième LP de Police est en vente depuis le mois de juin, quelques semaines plus tard, il est déjà maître des ondes." Does that mean that "Synchronicity" came out in the middle of June and that the interview / photos were made a few weeks later? thanks Dietmar
