We don't carry the weight of our countries on our shoulders. We
don't suffer with responsibility for the wrongs, or bask in the
rights of those who came before us. The truth is that we as
individuals are responsible for our own actions, burdens, beliefs
(religous or political, etc.), failures and successes. Personally,
I refuse to take the responsibility for actions of my ancestors
(and some were especially henius), much less the actions of
strangers who just happen to have been born in the same country.
>The USA want to be a World POLICE. So for a POLICE mailing list
>mentioning the Chief of the World Police is within the rules...
Allow me to explain the potential offense (not disparaging truth?)
of this statement. For one things, it lumps together all
Americans, even those who do not support the actions and policies
of the government and/or it's Chief of Police. It does nothing
but make individual Americans (on the basis alone of being
American) feel they are being held responsible for the policy it
states. It's not true that the entire USA wants to Police
the world, since not every individual within it's borders
supports that policy. It's a useless general statement directed
at the person responsible for American policy (which is no one
on this list).
I hope my thoughts makes sense.

Coming from Britain, I'm not proud that we occupied a huge chunk of the world and exploted it's people.... But then, my country decides to join a war I object to without asking my opinion, so I come from a country that has a present not to be proud of as well...

I have a few humble words of advice for
everyone...ignore the trolls. A troll's sole purpose
on any message board or mailing list is to incite
discourse--nothing else. Some simple signs are:
immediate negativity from the first appearance,
anonymity, and the apparent inability to carry-on a
civilized conversation in a positive manner.
Thanks.
Teri
would that also include the other trolls who try to
pass as intellectual wanna be peace keeping idiots who
also can become hostile and rude.. like let say
yourself?

BTW, in case said troll should wish a response, I will be
taking my own advice.

Ok....enough already. This is the second time today I have been foolish enough to allow myself to be antagonized into uncharacteristic behavior. You people are on your freaking own. I'm done with all of you who wish only to inflame and incite others.

Yes it does, tragic event.
Pearl Harbor:
Military casualties were 2,280 killed and 1,109 wounded;
68 civilians also died.
Hiroshima:
Pre-raid population 255,000
Dead 66,000
Injured 69,000
Total Casualties 135,000
Nagasaki
Pre-raid population 195,000
Dead 39,000
Injured 25,000
Total Casualties 64,000
Total for both cities: 199,000
That's before you even look at the cancer related deaths.

The USA want to be a World POLICE. So for a POLICE mailing list
mentioning the Chief of the World Police is within the rules...

Maybe you should take a look at the damage that was done when your
country decided to try to take over the world, and compare it to what you
say the US is doing and perhaps take some time to reflect that.

If you found a word in my email below from which you were able to infer a threat then I would suggest you find yourself a dictionary.

Amex card members ALSO had advance ticket sales, though 48 hours after the
fan club, this explains why numerous tickets were on ebay before general
release.
Also forgot to mention in my prev post regarding Albert Hall bogus tix...
when they ARE available, they won't be anywhere near those prices, not even
half of those prices!
J.
Just had word from Tina at the fanclub that the UK tickets being advertised
(Royal Albert Hall - £150-£175) are bogus.
Please don't buy any of these tickets, because the dates are not confirmed,
and even though they say they have tickets 'in stock', they don't, because
there are no tickets as yet, and you may well end up being very
disappointed, as well as very much out of pocket.
Fanclub members WILL get advance notification of genuine tickets, hopefully
in the next couple of weeks.
Also - anyone with AOL or Hotmail accounts, who feel they haven't been
receiving newsletters - the fanclub have advised that you set up a free
email account with someone like Yahoo!, as AOL and Hotmail are spam
filtering email quite heavily now, and for some reason, it is catching and
bouncing quite a few of the newsletters that are intended for AOL and
Hotmail accounts.
You don't need to change your whole email account, or cancel your AOL
subscription - just create a secondary email account with a free provider,
and don't forget to update your newsletter subscription information on the
sting.com website so the newsletters get directed to your new email account.
best regards to all.
J.
Dag allemaal!
Jullie hebben vast de uitzending van de TVshow gezien met Sting.. helaas heb
ik dit programma (en de herhaling) moeten missen. :,(
Is er misschien iemand die dit heeft opgenomen op video en het voor mij kan
kopiëren of iets dergelijks? Kosten en moeite worden natuurlijk ruim vergoed
en mijn dankbaarheid zal heel groot zijn!
alvast bedankt voor de reactie,
Maartje van der Most
