Hi We just come back to Barcelona after a large week in Canada to attend the Vancouver shows and yesterday the last show in Edmonton. As someone told..no Thruth Hits, no Murder and No Next ...to bad!!!! I attend the soundcheck-rehersal during 85minutes long in two diff. set.The first one was a really soundcheck trying to arrenge the ends of Don't Stand So,Bed's,Footsteps.Sting was very relaxed sit on the left side with the bass and Andy walks arround the stage talking some time with Sting who was the director of all the takes.Just a few words come out from Andy.Nothing from Stewart. The first to go out of the stage was Stewart..Andy and Sting talk many time and during that time..Andy play the guitard some notes of a no song and many time notes of Thruth Hits.After this..Andy go out of the stage and Sting was complitly alone on the stage sit on the left.After 15 minutes they go out to the stage.Just a 30 minutes late..the band comes to the satge and started a session of 20 minutes aprox. rehearsing complet songs..like Don't Stand So,Thruth Hits,Message,Voices/When the world, bed's too. This what we see...Miquel,Xavi and I on the Stadium!!!.The show was great but short.Roxanne was great as the same of Moon and So Lonely...and Don't Stand is not running well as the other shows. I'll be back with more info.I've got the journals of Edmonton with lots of info. All the best to my friends in Canada...and other countrys who meet in Vancouver!!!.GREAT Rogier!!!! you are the best!!!! I have something special for you!!!! Best all Toni Carbó & Co. sorry for my English mistakes!!!! PS: We see also Fiction Plane in a club the night before the show..GREAT show...power...electric!!!!we saty in the same hotel as the band and the crew..and was funny to meet the people on the elevators or in the loby!!!

Oh, good for you! I hope you added Fiction Plane to your itinerary ... you have a day in between Dallas and Houston.... I'd offer you a place to crash, but I will have my whole family w/me for Dallas and am not sure if I can make it to Houston. No decent ticket, and I'm thinking since I've added FP on the 28th, no way in Hllll my husband will go for me taking the kids home to Austin and hightailing it to Houston! No Bonnarroo. I sure hope y'all get to hear Next to You, how they finish that song is worth the price of admission alone! They just sounded more together overall on DeDoDoDo. As for Murder By Numbers, I'd expect it to return to the arena gigs as it's just not the right kind of song for big outdoor stadiums. I think it loses the intimacy that Sting and Andy are trying to create with the song. I would be more than happy if it got swapped with Bring On the Night, One World, Demolition Man, or pretty much anything else except Mother. That's my 2 cents Canadian! New Orleans is a great idea...actually I subsequently have decided to add Dallas x 2, Houston, and New Orleans...I will be making this roadtrip courtesy of Greyhound, almost eliminating the need for hotel by choosing overnight bus trips between locations, living off protein bars and dried fruit, all cheap seats, but the important thing will be that I'll be there to scream my head off and dance my azz off! <grin> Is anyone here planning on Bonnaroo, btw? Here is my take on the changes to the set list so far... Talking to my (and Bruce's) buddy Jock today, the concert ended very close to 11pm. There may be a city by-law that does not permit loud music after that time so they may have been obligated to cut Next To You or face a fine. I imagine it'll be back in the set-list next arena show. Truth Hits Everybody was back in the set list in Edmonton but I'm not sure Sting is totally satisfied with the song. He made a comment in the dress rehearsal about how somebody was going to make a big mistake during that song. Maybe he was referring to himself? It was historical, it was a helluvan explosion, the kind that only gods could pull off. I respect everyone's opinion; I sometimes let them even influence my own. I've heard and read the gamut on this. I will write mine later (after my back & feet recover from all the walking & standing!). Consider this until then: There were three gods on that stage. Were they perfect? (better question, were they back then?!) Hell no, and that's what I liked: the boys that we've deified for the last +25 yrs showed that they are human (who can forget them taking an ending again fanclub night--Bruce!!--and then the lovely out-of-tune ee-yo-yo's for the Walking on the Moon intro?!), three men who have already lived most of their lives--albeit in different degrees as rockstars--showed they can still fckn kick ass. For those of us over 40, we know the difference 25 years can make. It's something we cannot ignore when we think about how it will influence everything about the boys and tour: the pace and length of the show, of each song, how many dates they'll play in a town and how spaced out the dates are... it just does, along with other mitigating factors, but age cannot be dismissed. Seems like the boys are embracing it just fine. And I love it! I'll excuse some slower versions of some songs as long as they keep touring. I'm not going to guess what's in their heads when they're up there, or when they planned this out. It Appears that they are not yet congealed, and I think things like harmonies and smiles will come when they are more comfortable with the whole tour thing again. Three gods came out on that stage those two nights I was privileged to see and hear them. They willingly showed us their human side and that alone was worth the price of the entire weekend. Yeah, that's me. And yeah, I was lucky enough to get in at the Whisky. I think we met briefly afterwards. Let me know if you hear anything about a Fiction Plane after show for that night. I liked there first album, I'd be into checking out their own gig. I don't know Phoenix real well but I understand there are a lot of restaurants in walking distance of the venue. Come to think of it... being June in Phoenix it's going to be HOT, so if a lot of us are walking a gathering after the show will be a lot more comfortable.
