Anne-Jelmer- It is definitely the Strontium90 version. And the really cool thing about it is that it's the first recording that Sting ever made of the song. There's a blurb about it in the liner notes for the album, and it's mentioned that he got the song idea, went over to a friend's house, and recorded it in the attic or bedroom or something on a four track with just him, a guitar, and an old hand drum. Broken Music tour

One thing that is certain: he has the ability to make this the best tour - hell, possibly that he has ever done as a solo artist - because of his arranging abilities, because of the 'back catalog', and because he is a great musician. SL has been out forever. This "Broken Music" tour should not be looked at as a new way to "push units" but as a way to reconnect with old fans and to gain new ones. The sure fire way to do that is to wow people with musicianship and material. I can honestly say that I have never looked more forward to seeing him in concert, nor have I been this intriqued by him. I have been saying FOR YEARS that he should do something like this (my wish is/was to see him COMPLETELY solo, just him and a guitar). Again, here's hoping our collective hearts are not disappointed... ...To howl, at the moon, the whole night through... Richie p.s.: see that! The reason I think it will be more accoustic than robotic (kudos to whoever said that) is because the announced artists are all playing instruments that can be played accoustically. Granted, you can put a pickup on an accoustic guitar, surely the bass will be electric, and there will probably be a microphone in front of the drums, but I think that this looks like a less techno-driven ensemble. Also, just because he's coming to college campuses does not mean he will sell out and do a rock tour. Look at the median age of his fan base. There are professors and townies living in these areas -- I have for the last 21 years and I am NOT associated with the college -- and believe me, we all raised our kids on the good stuff: Blue Turtles, Soul Cages, etc. So he is appealing to more than the students. College kids are not high school kids -- there is a BIG difference in what the high school kids listen to vs. what the college kids enjoy, and it has been my experience that the college kids enjoy the whole spectrum of music, not just techno/rock/Cher on a vocoder (shudder). So let's keep our fingers crossed for a mellower experience without keyboards (she said, innocently), and therefore a much more musical experience! --Holly

Wow - this "stripped" down tour is indeed interesting and makes me very interested in attending another show. I am thinking less programmed, less keyboards and less "tracked" and i am thinking this is good. And some lower ticket prices... .some feedback getting to Sting. I am quite pumped on this.. we shall see but at least it is indeed something new... David

Hey guys, Glad to here that he ditched the robot that has been greatly influencing him on the last 2 albums. It looks more like the lineup he had on the Soul Cages tour, except he won't use keyboards on this one. It will surely be a rock set, since he will play for a younger audience. This is a great news if you ask me! I don't think he will suck in the rock arena, i am not to sure about Domenic though, he is too soft in his playing ... I remember when David Sancious covered Purple Haze with him and he blew him off with his playing , i wish David was back ... He was greatly apreciated to my eyes in terms of musianship. I think it will be a readapted set list for this tour. Notice he did not call it Sacred Love tour, but Broken Music tour ... Hmmm, makes you think. I wondered the same thing.
