I do if it's someone just going to all the police sites and promoting it, but if it's someone looking out for those of us that collect, then it really doesn't bother me. I often times forget to check ebay or whatever, so it's a good reminder to me. BlankMerry Chistmas and Happy New Year to all on the list! Santa has been and gone here in Australia - how do I know? The lights are flashing on the tree, the stockings are full, but most importatly the sun has not quite risen into the sky and my 4 year old has awoken me to tell me the carrot she left for Santa's reindeer has gone! Anyone who thinks for even a minute that Dominic Miller is a better guitarist than Andy is a complete moron and should look up the definition of the word "better." Andy has been playing guitar longer than Dominic has been alive. One way to tell who is better is to listen to as much of both of their music as possible, try playing as much of their music as possible on guitar, and then it would be so obvious who is better that it is ridiculous to make a comparison. Now if your comparison is just for fun to see what people think, that is fine but after spending years trying to play like Andy on the guitar, and seeing Dominic play, there is no question who is the better of the two. Andy is by far one of the most difficult to copy and complex guitarists. He may not be as popular as Eric Clapton but I believe his guitar playing is up there at EC's level or even beyond. You go! I happen to prefer Andy's, but probably not due to knowing the difference in their techniques, but just the "sound" that comes out. I don't know what it is, but Andy has a very distinctive style. I enjoy both, but if I had to choose one over the other, Andy wins. oops, I guess maybe he wins for some songs. For the slower, more fingerwork intensive songs, I'd have to pick Dom. There I go, being the mom again touting the positive attributes of both of my kids! Horrible question "who do you like better!" Hi guys, Much as I hate to pour cold water on the reunion theory (talk about a Merry Christmas, if that happened!), this Incubus collaboration certainly has been on the cards for a while. There was an interview with either Stewart or Andy in a music magazine earlier in the year, in which they said that this was something they were hoping to do, since Incubus counted The Police as such an inspiration. When I run across the mag I'll give the details or scan the page. Sorry to be so vague, but it was a while ago - indeed, having been really pleased to hear about their playing with Incubus back then I'd begun to think maybe it was yet another Police thing that wasn't going to happen - and it was a mag that I don't usually buy, and had picked up expressly because I'd heard a Police-alumnus interview would be in there. For people having trouble downloading the footage: When I tried at first, I got a page full of weird type too, but then realised that it must be a browser issue. I have a PC and usually use Mozilla Firefox, but once I tried using IE it worked fine. :) I'm still watching the footage; partway through Roxanne, and it's fantastic. I don't even mind the singer's voice at this point, though I wasn't so wild about it on the other songs. Loved hearing Andy nail Message In A Bottle again; watching Stewart grinning maniacally from behind his kit... fantastic. :) Angeline
