Hi all, On BBC Radio Ulster yesterday they were talking about how some songs go through phases where every time you turn on the radio, there they are - and they went on to say that last year, the third most-played song in Europe was "Rise And Fal"l. :-) This next thing is something that you guys probably already know about, but due to the site's slightly unusual navigation (some links to individual items in the "words" section only appear on the second or third page) I hadn't spotted it before, so I think a link is in order: http://www.andysummers.com/words-police.html It's Andy talking about the Synchronicity recordings, with some interesting insights into certain songs. I hadn't seen him standing before either. Also, when Sting is lip synching, (and obviously not playing the bass) are Andy and Stewart really playing? How does that work with a live audience? Do they hear two sets of drums, Andy and Sting's voice? fave police shows

My favorite may be the Police in Japan on a boot called Slits on my back. My favorite tour by far is the Zen tour. They were polished enough and had enough good tunes. I loved Shadows in the rain live , beds too big, cant stand/regatta jam etc. I really not a big fan of the Ghost tour I have to say - I think the horns clutter up the clean Police live sound and by the Sync tour the spontaneiety had gone. The Melbourne show is also one of my faves.

Yes. He and Trudie were interviewed on the red carpet before the GC by NBC. Too bad he did not win, he lost to the song from the Lord of the Rings:-( Oscar nods come out on Tuesday morning so hopefully he will be nominated for that as well! He did this a lot for TV shows where the music came from a tape...
