this is just garbage. Sting's solo material has nose-dived since Ten Summoner's, but even then, it simply could not match the stuff he wrote for the Police. I would give almost anything for another song like "Invisible Sun" or an album like "Ghost". Just call me nostalgic. I can only assume that since "Send You Love" is the first release from this album, it must be one of the better tunes on the album. What a depressing thought.

Fellow Stingers, Let me preface this by saying that NO ONE is a bigger fan of Sting's music than I. I grew up with the music of the Police. My tastes matured with Sting's solo work. I can think of only two or three songs from Police and Sting albums that I dislike. Sting is by far my favorite artist. That said, "Send Your Love" is a BAD song. Sting is making a blatant commercial grab, putting out a simple, marketable song that will be played in clubs, that will sell his album. "Send Your Love" has no artistic content. I hope that "Send Your Love" is comparable to "We'll Be Together," another artistically bare song that prefaced an otherwise breathtaking album. "We'll Be Together" was used to sell Nothing Like the Sun. As a first single, the song's discordance did not fit the atmospheric beauty of the album's other songs, but it did generate noise on the dance charts. If true music fans are lucky, "Send Your Love" will likewise be a rhinestone among a collection of musical gems. I'm disappointed in the first single, but as a longtime Sting fan, I have confidence that the rest of the album will offer redemption. Johnny Nitro

"I send an SOS to the world, I hope that someone gets my message in a bottle..." Could someone explain to Sting that he should try to make music and not commercial songs ? Have you heard this "Send your love" ? It's nothing but a new desert-rose-melodic-club-mix made for summer clubbers that don't care about music an only care about the rythm of the track. We can't ear anything but electronic samples and computer sounds. Where are the musicians??? If you like Sting's music, you'll probably dislike this song. I fear the "Sacred Love" album : if it's like Brand New Day, as it's said to be, this will reach the top of the charts, sure ! but it won't be thanks to Sting musicality ! You can see I'm a bit disappointed, but I really used to love Sting's music... till he discovered computers... Mercury hass really fallen... SEB

I do have to say ............. this song rocks !! finally, the DJ in the local club won't be annoyed when I asked him to play Sting's new tune, last time I asked was for Brand New Day (yes that long ago) and talking about a floor clearer! - was I embarrassed that night ? You better believe it !!! Now - I can finally show my face again! Thanks Sting! very Kipper sounding!!

What a bizarre direction for Sting to chose. I understand it from a marketing point of view, but from a challenging himself and development point of view, I do not. That said, I will still buy the albums, the singles.. .the t-shirts and buy tickets to about 50 shows on the tour. I will continue to be in the fanclub and continue to be a fan, but please god let the album not be all techno....
