Howdy Friends, Is it just me, or was anybody else sadly disappointed by Sting's performance on the VH-1 awards? On another note...I went to the U2 show in Tampa last night and they were awesome as usual. As I banged my head and joined in on the chorus to "I Will Follow", a thought of The Police popped into my head. I thought, "Had they stayed together, they'd probably be blowing away audiences to this day, just like U2." This made me a little sad. But don't worry, I won't commit suicide over it or anything. Yes, symantic.com has the viruschecker that we need. Goto that sight then click on the "alert" button and move down the page to "removal instructions" then click on the w32 badtrans b@mm removal tool . It will look through all of your files and remover the virus. Good luck! Jane

Don't worry, you can never get a virus just by opening an e-mail. It's the attachments that can be big trouble. Never, ever, ever, never open an attachment if you don't know where it came from and what it contains. Tommy TMead17372(a)aol.com

Buy a virus killer. I use Norton Internet Security, and it detected 20 emails containing the badtrans.b virus before it even made the news. The 2002 version also scans your outgoing email, so will prevent you spreading it to lists. These days, there really is no excuse for not having at least a virus killer, and possibly a firewall. I'm not having a go at anyone, although it is very annoying, but do yourselves a favour, and buy a virus killer.... :) For those using academic networks and computers, sack the network admin... I believe Symantec even have a FREE online virus check on their website, that will scan your machine for you, without having to buy anything.... Best regards, J.
