the Battersea Shield

Hey Folks! I just received my gold manhole-cover-esque Battersea Shield. Though I have not yet had a chance to listen to the actual cd, I would encourage you all to place an order through Malicious Damage's website immediately! It took less that a week to get it from the UK to SF. Not only is the packaging just fantastic, but it came with 2 buttons (one of the shield design from the tin, the other has a figure on it and says the orb v meat beat manifesto) plus a strange and mysterious message, stamped by Alex Paterson. (I could tell you what it says, but why spoil the surprise?) It was very amusing. All in all, its going to be one of my favourite Orb items! =) rach

my work machine (which had all of my bookmarks saved) died. hard. hard drive failure. i had bookmarked a great UK based mail order shop, which i used to order German releases. i want the new Pop Ambient (having enjoyed thei series so far) but am having a terrible time finding it, or remembering the name of that mail order shop. can anyone help? is there an American source for Kompakt releases? It's gone Oh So quiet over the past couple of months on this list, I thought what with the last two releases,It would be rockin'. So I thought I'd submitt this,I actually turned up on the night of The Seed records do to find out that It was cancelled! We came across some girl who seemed out of it outside the venue.......there was four of us huddled round these posters reading this very small paragraph trying to take it in,with her behind us saying "I bet it was cancelled cause of Coil ,they must be fuckin about?" She seemed to be a coil fan....I thought nothing of It till I read about a member dying or something.....quirky? "Komplott"-"Falkenbruck"-Does anyone know what the sample In this tune Is? It's very Pink Floyd esque? I was checkin e-bay and someone had the e.p.up as a "singin In the rain Clockwork orange" disc????? not very orb - so very sorry to spam the list (lost all addresses a post virus reformat), so I'll be brief: anyone who has appreciated my am. dream should now be at the 3rd stage of conscious awareness. stage 4: 'what were gonna do is go back, back into time'.....take a sip on your favorite tipple.....real time MIX....'dub trees (nature..)', 'K&D sessions', and 'Aunt Aubrey 1, mono cd 1', with 'waking life' (with NARRATION) on the dvd player, turn on the flat screen and the 5.1, crank up the volume,rbally relax.....& get mixing.....and you will get an idea of the origins of the album. if y've time, let me know your future suggestions? cheers, bbbrooo at hotmail p.s. look out for the possessed ebay duck in waking life! p.p.s. Re: off topic hard disk failure hmm you said it was a mac drive. If you have a friend who is a linux hacker you may be able to remove the drive from its case and plug it into the ide chain on a linux box and try to mount it. It should be some kind of mac format i dunno what they use I think its HFS. Anyways their are tools to mount it if it works at all. You might even try a linux live cd but you need one that would support your mac and HFS, their is probably some derivative of knoppix that will work. Also I wanted to say thanks to whoever made that 2 cd set awhile back for the list maybe it was 3-4 years ago. I think it's the 2001 space orbesy cd anywas thanks i just listened to it reacently and it was nice. -discord
