Due to my recent move and my now Satellite Internet connection, I will no longer be allowing any usage for the archives that I have. I have a cap on my bandwidth and if people were to use the FTP, it would eat up my allocation. Sorry for any inconvenience and perhaps when I get back on cable modem, I will start it back up again. If you are using Firefox (and if you aren't, you should be), you can change the default action for MP3's and other audio files to be saved to your hard drive, rather than play in Quicktime. Select Options in the Tools menu. Then click on applications. Click on the MPEG audio file formats and change their default action to "Save File". Then enjoy! ND

If yr looking from the US tour, La Luna, Portland 6/19/95 is the best. St Andrews Hall 6/10/95 would be the second. There are a few other ones like Orbeon, Cleveland 6/2/95 and Masquerade, Atlanta 5/28/95 but the sound quality is lacking on those 2 and they're incomplete. From Europe, I'd say Bristol New trinity 4/18/95 FM broadcast 66 min is great. John Radcliff 7/12/95 FM is another good one & is about 40 mins. I was thinking of that day too, and the car trouble we had getting up to Brixton to meet Andy, on our way to Cargo for a "Le Petite Orb" set...but he was in great form when we eventually got there! I've also been thinking how lucky I was to hang out in the studio around the early Cydonia sessions, thanks to Andy... ...hearing 'A Mile Long Lump of Lard' the day it was first recorded - "have a listen to what we did today" - and sitting with Alex, Thomas Felhmann and Andy while the vocals for 'once more' were being recorded are two occasions that spring to mind... ...but especially heading to the local pub with Andy for a few beers each time. I also remember Andy for always sorting out guestlist tickets for fans he meet through this list - he sorted after-show party passes for JC, myself and mrs smiley at the Albert Hall U.F.OFF show, for example... ...and, even though we were about the only unknowns in the room (Jimi Cauty, Irvine Welsh and Annie Nightingale were our nearest companions), we were the first people Andy came to talk to, after his family. That's the kind of bloke he was, and even though I had lost touch with him recently, I'll truly miss him. It's like when you wake yourself up from a quick deep sleep, a fantastic dream & focusing eyes are all watery, adjusting to the darkness & you'd swear you just saw a spirit in the room wth you, you with me? ... just happened & went from one of me best weeks ever into the end of this one here. I really feel like typing more than these words because one can't even describe the loss that is hurting but here goes anyway. I vividly remember buying the unique 'Orbvs T.' on cassette & knowing full well that this was masterly engineered with a longer proper time format than any other or future Orb releases. That was right with me nonstop 'round when the open air headphones started to become the norm. I had those two on for an entire month AND with my ticket in my pocket until that very South Beach Miami FL venhue on Collins St set me on an ultra ramp. Right off right centre stage after le gran Orb's set was complete Andy & I could have been seen mash up moshing skanking to some other night dj's high energy techno & it was as if we could have started ourselves off into the night or lead a quiet riot or something... before that I think the only other artist I was into that danced with me was Gregory Issacs & was merely my first one of many more future Orbful moments ...maybe because out of the grunge of cyber feedback unto more than harmonious sequencer samples after grunge, Andy Hughes flourishes on & beget strong rythmic roots of The Orb tree & dubbed himself out. I knew I liked this one better & I'm from near Orlando. miss the guy tons respectfully, Jo'Seppe

Ok, I found the track! And yeah, it kinda reminds me of the Orb's remix of Gong's "A PHP's Advice." http://www.gel-sol.com/mp3s/ahughes_rip.mp3 I don't have much info on this track, let alone a name. For all I know, this track was unreleased, and was intended for a future em:t records compilation (em:t folded shortly after this, most likely for picking up shit bands like Gel-Sol and 302 Acid. ;P). I was visiting the UK in the summer of '05 when Matt Hall of em:t records played this for me. I believe he said the track was unfinished, but I had to have it! Either way, this mix sounds quite good. ENJOY! Again, I didn't really know Andy, but he came out to see one of my shows in London and I exchanged a few emails with him. Orbvs Terrarvm and Orblivion are easily two of the most important albums in shaping me musically, and for that I am eternally grateful. I hope to one day be able to release music of that caliber, and hopefully influence other people in the same way Andy influenced me.
