OK, I feel a bit of a brat asking you guys to re-cap years of discogs I should know allready, but this is actually stuff I felt dumb about asking before. I don't know if Fortran 5 or that Blue Gem or whatever thing sounds any good, so just wanted to know if its worth pursuing. To be honest the stuff he did for Orb was almost about pleasing the drug addled crowd and the recent stuff is more about inside jokes and his amusement(maybe LX's problem is similar). I try to research this on my own, but end up on orblist archives 4 years old or getting sidetracked. I found a great article about Coope' (although I have no idea who she is) and Plaid and Thrash going to some temple and her jumping into the ocean with a mini-disc recorder. http://www.themilkfactory.co.uk/reviews/coppe_nauru.htm Also a pretty fair summation of the Orb's B2m in which the reviewer is not the only to take notice that Green Ginger disrupts the flow as well as all the Badorb stuff. http://www.popmatters.com/music/reviews/o/orb-backtomine.shtml Lemme know offlist of any premers or links I should read to not waste your time. Also, nobody said whether I should be worried about snatching up those KLF vinyls. A good collector's item or not? You mean if Alice In Chains got together without Dave Jerden, but they had all of the original members? Yes I would catagorize that a reunion, but I think that Kris was much more than just an Engineer. If you think that Pomme Fritz and Orbus Terrum is Alex, and Thomas Feldman.... I would have to disagree. It sounds too "Thrashy" to be just those two, or whoever else was involved. It seems to me like he put up with two retards, and he shouldn't of had to. Alex should've realized what he had, shut his mouth, and learned what Kris had to say. It seems like one of those situations where when you have a job, and your boss is an idiot. You put up with it to a certain point, but at the end of the day you're more qualified than your boss, and he has the final say, but it's time to move on. If Kris banned me from his forum and told me to never contact him again, my feelings would be hurt, but you know what? I would still support him, in my mind he is a true musician/artist with impeccable taste in rhythm, and melody. His music is timeless, inspiring, and beyond anything anyone else is doing. He is what he is, and it is a beautiful thing. You know as well as I do that he would think I'm a nob for even saying this shit, but whatever,... I like good music and that's the bottom line. The whole reason Kwissy banned me was cuz I dissemated his Man Vs Preset link someone put up on Yahoo orblist (which I think I also got banned from for slamming the idiot moderator) I probably can't even begin to understand how projects like this get held back, but they called the damn thing "shelved" so thats exactly what happened to it. Well, thats all true. I am trying to support him and nobody gives a fuck about forums and shit, I still get harassing emails that are hilarious but IN TRUTH its all very sad. You are right that he musta took some of the gift of the orb with him, I have noticed that they suck since he left... but why does he hafta almost hate that he ever did the orb? He knows thats why many people like him and it kills him inside. He's cutting on himself and wishing every day he could stop unwrapping a new bar of soap every time he washes his hands. He hasta do everything in threes or its not done to his satisfaction.. I don't know this, I just assume and I'm never wrong etc etc. I wish I could get some more of his music without him throwing a fucking tantrum about it (see "wasp in lager") and want to support him without having to deal with the ego. BTW Angel, he told us the story of blowing the pop smoke in the DAT too and its funny, but about the only good story he ever told.. he's very selfish with these tidbits we would all pay good money to hear.

I'm not saying they need to get together, I just don't think this should be called a reunion. Mainly because it's not, it's just Alex trying to pull a little buff and bluff. Sorry to hear Thrash didn't give you what you wanted, but just think that you donated something to a good cause. Look, I'm totally confused by the digest as to which one of you people sent Thrash money and he replied with a "screw you." Personally I think that's way out of line. That stupid motherfucker's got an ass kicking coming to him he never expected. I had thought he was just playing a game but I've got a feeling that the "nice" Thrash that people have met in person is the act. After all the bitching he's done about getting ripped off he's then gonna turn around and do it to someone trying to buy a record he produced?!? That's just beyond the pale. Nothing worse than a 30 something baby. Anyway, I've got an extra copy of that Madonna thing he sent me when it first went on sale because he's too fucking stupid to understand the order system (heh heh, I wonder how many duplicates he mailed out before I told him). So whoever it was that actually sent him money (can you believe he didn't just return the money?) I'll send you my extra copy for the cost of postage. The artwork really isn't all that and, well, you've heard the music. There's only about two good cuts on there and after you've listened to those you've already heard WAY more Madonna cursing than you need to. I guess in the short run it'll really make no difference to him if he's a prick to a customer. But that's all the proof anyone in business will need to know to avoid working with him. If this happened to me I'd be sure to forward his reply to every record company he might ever work with. And post it on any bulletin boards that might keep someone from buying his music. If you can't do business like a gentleman you deserve a serious beating. And if (whoever you are) you're bullshitting about his reply to you then this whole thing is void.
