Thats so funny someone mentioned Throbbing Gristle as I saw a local band this weekend called Savage Aural Hotbed. They play all homeade instruments as well as a few radial arm saws and contraptions that throw sparks all over. It was GREAT, although not 100% original. Anyhow, Har Mar Superstar is playing the park down the road from me tonite, so I hope I can get home and make it in time. They're playing the Thomas Crown Affair on a screen after?? He's just here for today then its back to England... Middlesboro saturday, Hull next thursday.. Brighton the next day etc etc... He's just gonna be there for like the next 6 weeks so... go see ma boyeee! ...the differences in the releases? Specifically, I got vinyl version, which is seemingly significantly different from friend's Japanese CD I heard some time back. I esp remember Orb Is being much more slamming than dubby like on the vinyl. So, what are the differences betw Japanese CD/US CD/UK CD/vinyl? Maybe Fehlmann should issue these releases under Der Orb instead! On the other hand it annoys me as well that 'new' LX releases are appearing as The Orb on every f*cking album that is remotely LX related, only because the cleaning lady of the brother of the producer has shagged LX fifteen years ago. Maybe they should split the band, like Gong did decades ago: Der Orb, LX's Orb, Youth's Orb, TrashOrb... In fifteen years time they can hold a big Orbfest like Gong did a few years ago, assembling all the Gong-clones on a single festival (even System7 was there). Felix (who still hopes the Orb are not over, yet, please...) PS: what about the Belgian gig then at Leffingeleure festival on 18 September???

BT - Divinity (The Orb Remix)

Can anyone here clear once and for all what is the deal with this remix? According to rumours back in 1995 (or 1996), Perfecto planned to release "Divinity" as a single and commisioned The Orb/LTJ Bukem to do remixes. Later they abandoned the whole release, so none of it has ever seen the light of day. The funny thing is nobody has ever heard these remixes to my knowledge. I think it was confirmed later that LTJ Bukem remix was just a rumour and Bukem had never touched it, but the situation is a bit more complicated with The Orb remix. If my memory serves me right, someone once asked Alex about this remix and he told that the remix had never existed. Now you'd think that that would settle everything once and for all, but when I asked BT about it, he confirmed that the remix did indeed exist and it's shit (according to BT). Now I don't know who to believe. Nobody has ever heard this remix and LX confirmed that it didn't exist (although I don't have first hand information about it), but on the other hand these rumours have been circulating for like 7 years and accoriding to BT the remix was made. Anyone here have any information about it? Cheers, Roman

Ok. last question. I have all the plaid studio albums plus booc, bytes, black dog and plaid peel sessions (at least 1 of each). I have the Dial P, OS mix, midsummer mix, and a two part TS mix or something... what else is left? I went to the Electric Fetus after work yesterday just to visit the two Black Dog discs "Temple of Transparent Balls" (dunno why that sounds perverted) $16.99 USD and "Parallel" 19.99 USD !! I just couldnt spend that on em.. I suppose they are reissues? And whats this Repeater? thats sounds intruiging. I've asked this question before, but any help quelling the fiending I get for Ed and Andy would help. (oh, some1 said they mix the DJ Kicks 'Nicollet' too, if its worth it). thanks, matty P.s.
