Hello, I remember back in '01 when I was all excited about seeing The Orb and Sigur Ros at Coachella, and both bands' performances were crap due to time constraints and technical difficulties. Now that the Orb is kicking off a tour just a few days after Coachella concludes leaves a certain amount of curiosity in my mind if they might make another appearence... Nonetheless, I'm planning on attending and having a great time. Radiohead, Death Cab For Cutie, The Stills, British Sea Power, Mogwai, Pixies, The CURE, Prefuse 73, Pauk Van Dyk, Belle & Sebastien... Pixies

Fucking love the Pixies. I got to see them right after Surfer Rosa came out and it was tremendous. They were playing at Tipitina's and someone came down to the WTUL studios with some mushrooms for them while they were being interviewed (they asked for them) so I know they were tripping. he yeah the flaming lips. saw them in 95 and they kicked my ass, better than i could have imagined. say them again in 2001 and they put me to sleep. i have the soft bulletin on cd and i'm considering getting rid of it. i also have zaireeka, which is a pretty cool idea, but i almost never listen to it, and may get rid of it someday too. then on tape i have telepathic surgery, in a priest driven ambulance, hit to death in the furture head, and transmissions from the satellite heart, and i just dare you to try to take them from me. that shit is f u n. i've seen them on cd and they come in sets, it's kinda weird. will prolly pick some of them up someday. i've seen that with a few old things that didn't originally come out on cd, i guess it could save money. the pixies are back? wow man, that's cool. i liked the breeders tho, shame. never really got into frank black on his own tho, might check that stuff out someday. $140!??!? us dollars?!?! (even tho they ain't whaty they used to be lately - good job georgie!) damn, have fun all you opulent new american empire debutantes. peace.

I do like the Golden Path song and Yosimi album but I must admit I approched it all with trepedation seeing as how its the same people that brought us "The bed is on fire with passionate love, the neighbors complain about the noise from above." I must have to somewhat agree with thrash that the neighbors complained about a whining aahhhhh eeeeeeeee voice. Real cerebral cats they is, especially coming from Oklahoma? What was that Anthony Kedis said about Talking heads making him want to have sex with librarians? Flaming Lips

I saw them live in the late 80's and they were fucking amazing. Their whole light show was two massive disco balls with white spots and smoke. They're the only band I've ever seen that deliberately overdrove the p.a. Didn't they also do this thing where they recorded music onto cassettes and passed them out to 30 different cars who then played them at the same time as loud as they could. I've got the 4 cd set that you're supposed to play in 4 different stereos at once but I've never had enough boom boxes in the same place to do it. Some of their stuff lately has been way too poppy for me... until I turn it up until the amp clips real hard. ahem, you forgot to mention Radiohead and a little band called the Pixies that hasn't played together for over 10 years. I'm there, it's definitely worth the $. Oh yeah and Thrash's favorite the Flaming Lips will be there too. I can see thinking that they suck if all you know of them is their most recent album and shameless commercial spots, but fact is they've been a great rock band for twenty years now. It's not their fault that you only noticed them after the British press started drooling over them.
