Thanks to Clarence Andrews and Howard Audsley for the web sites and tips on cruising in the M17. I don't have an M boat, or for that matter, a sailboat at all at this time, but do have a circa 1940 ish 13' wooden boat with the original inboard power, and a 14' lund, for beach cruising. The idea of a self contained sailboat under 20' capable of overnighting seems to be the next logical step, and as we live on Vancouver Island BC there are unlimited possibilities for cruising! I have checked out Potters but they seem a bit "light" to me (no offence intended!) Any comments welcomed! Thanks Ian
Ian I'm sure you will find the M-17 very much to your liking........It is a wonderful weekender with lots of storage for gear and supplies, easy to setup and sail single-handed. Likewise, nothing against the Potters............... Lenny M-23 Sea Horse
Ian: You may want to check out some of the sites, such as the Micro Cruiser and Trailer Sailor, on this section of the MSOG: http://msog.org/cfmods/M-links1.cfm?cat_ch=B And may also want to subscribe to the Small Craft Advisor: http://www.smallcraftadvisor.com/ Both are good resources for someone thinking about cruising around in small boats.....which sounds to me like a good idea!
