Whenever mixing metals in a humid environment, use a product called Never-Sieze. It's a heavy grease mixed with graphite. It prevents corrosion between sufaces. I've used it in the water treatment industry for 30 yrs and on my sailboat too. I tapped holes in the boom to attach bails and years later the screws came right out without any corrosion. Sandy
Sandy, Good tip. Thanks. I just fabricated a bimini top for Carol II with stainless steel fixtures but aluminum poles and bows. I tried liquid electrical tape between the two metals but that was a mess - plus the two are locked together by a perfectly conducting set screw anyway. I'll try the Never-Seize. Stan
