Tiller locking

I am going to address the issue of being able to temporarily lock the tiller for whatever reason. I like the forespar lock box that is used with a forespar tiller extender. One negative right off is that I'm going to have to cut a sizable hole in my beautiful boat. I do like that system however. Then it seems like a lot of you have hardware on the tiller with a line running through it. Friction on the line holds the tiller in place. I would appreciate some feedback. Thanks, Tim Erwin. Second set of reef grommets M15

I'm sending my mainsail to sailcare for a stain removal. While my sail is there they will put a second set of reefing for $ 95.00. I sail on the Texas coast, near Corpus Christi. The average wind blows 15 but 20-25 happens often. I think maybe I just answered my own question. I'll have a second set of reef points while it's there. I would appreciate some feedback. Chirs, Wow! Thanks for taking the time to do that!!! The Home page is gone, but the "old home page" still exists and it has a lot of the links on it. So I re-directed my domain.... _www.saildauntless.com_ (http://www.saildauntless.com) to that page. Some of the links are bad...but many seem to work. Reefing Line size for M15

Hello All: I just installed cheek blocks, etc on my boom for reefing. I was wondering what size line you guys use. I used 5/16 line to align blocks and clam cleats but it seems like it is oversided for its intended use. Your advice would be appreciated. Mike Hall M15 167 "Dreki"

If you are looking for an excuse to lie the project to rest, then by all means enjoy the extra sailing time. You deserve it. However, if you are willing to spend a little time, some (most? all?) of the content is still retrievable. Going to the web site shows a banner with register/login buttons. Havasumontgomerys bites the dust!

Well, I knew it would happen eventually. and it did. The web service I initially used for the Havasumontgomerys site as well as the first years of the HPCC event....finally totally flaked out. For years now I have been unable to access the site to make any modifications. I could never get ANY response from the webmaster or company for support. I finally gave up, and went to Godaddy making the new Sailhavasu site. Well, now I see the HavasuMontgomerys site is gone and with it a lot of the history of Dauntless and her restoration. Bummer.. All attempts to contact Piczo.com meet with absolutely no response. It's the weirdest thing I've ever seen. I still have archives of pictures and stuff on discs...but I really don't have the time/desire to locate and rebuild it all. Oh well! it was fun while it lasted!!!! :-)

Hi Joe, Does the Garmin have a NEMA input plug? My older model 76's have them. Then I was considering a tillerpilot several sailors advised going to the model up, the ST2000 I believe. It has more piston arm power, and I think it comes with a remote control. Ever notice how other folks find ways to suggest spending YOUR money?
