Having achieved 90yrs of age and sailed my M15, (Bucket List item), on the Rappahannock River this month out of Windmill Point, VA (Daughters home) I am ready to 'Swallow the Anchor' I am putting my M15 up for sale. I have misplaced my Spec sheet and was wondering if I could get one of the list members to respond with the information.so I can list my M15. Need LOA, LWL,Width,Weight, Depth CB up & CB down, Sail Area, Mast height @ WL. Will continue to lurk on the list now that I am an Armchair Sailor. M-8 Rudder and Centerboard

My brother was lucky enough to purchase the Montgomery 8 recently posted on the Seattle Craigslist page. He says the boat looks great, especially for the price, came with a full sail rig, but is missing the centerboard and rudder. Does anyone have any information on what the rudder and centerboard should be for the boat so new ones can be fabricated? Finally - angle wedges under jib sheet swivel cam cleats

I put these swivel cam cleats for jib sheets on quite a while back now, but only early this summer finally made these angle wedges to level them up. Here's pics of before (mounted flat on angled coaming top); the wedges (fabbed from 1/2" kingboard/starboard); and after. The angle now is just right, pretty much level relative to cockpit seats and floor. Was angled up too much without these. I have had a Raymarine ST1000 on my M17 for years, and it is a wonderful piece of equipment. Some 95% of my sailing is single-handing, and the autopilot is a great shipmate when you need to go forward to untangle a line, go below for a beer or motor long distances if the wind dies. Like any piece of electronic equipment, it cannot anticipate wind gusts or waves and swells the way a human helmsman can, but for short-term help it is great. David Hill M17 Grouper

Mainsheet traveller

I installed a stainless Bridge deck aft of the companionway and mounted the traveller there. It is directly above the original mounting location. The idea was to create a seat at the cabin opening as my boat has the early kitchenette interior and only has one inside seat. An advantage to the main sheet in this location is that the main sheet is quite short, especially in comparison to boom end sheeting. It also creates a space to house the all important "utility" buckets. They stow there securely and don't spill. Jon Barber Monty17 Ol'44
