Any pics of cunningham/downhaul setup on M17?

Hi all, Just curious what anyone has for a cunningham/downhaul setup on their M17. Pics if ya got 'em. Looked through pics I have saved from list, but nothing much shows that part of rig. Now that I have the mast gate I can use tack reefing lines easily. I had just been using one of those cleats for a downhaul line tied to eye on gooseneck. I see that in another pic someone posted long ago. But now I need a separate setup. M-17 questions round 2

Now for a couple questions regarding boom hardware. I'll attach a few photos. When I got the boat, there was this short line tied at the rear of the boom. I've been using it to support the boom when the sail is not up (by tying it to the ring at the split in the backstay). Is this same line used to tension the sail foot by pulling it back? Or maybe some of the hardware on the boom is used. I'll attach as few photos of the boom showing both sides. Can anyone tell me what the hardware is for? Thanks very much for any input! -Gerry

Swim Ladder

Solar charge controllers

Mast gate fabrication for my M17

Hi all, Someone asked me about this off-list and I was just finishing up the fabrication...a mast gate for my M17. My mast has the cut-away (milled out) mast gate, which makes a big opening, both sides of track. So I made a fixed plate for port side, and a removable plate for starboard (arbitrary, except that I normally am on starboard side of mast when attaching boom and/or mainsail, and I'd heave to on starboard tack if I had to mess with the gate for any reason). They're basically identical, except for the thumbscrews on the removable side. Here's a few pix (not necessarily in order as attached) that show the gate pieces ready to install, the fixed side installed, and both sides installed. Kingston WA Ramp

Ahoy Puget Sound M-17 Captains; I recently moved from the San Francisco Bay area to Kingston Washington. Have any of you had experience launching an M-17 from the Kingston Marina? The ramp angle looks a little shallow to me. Along those lines, is there a trick for determining the ramp angle beforehand? Thanks, Jim M-17 "Spirit"

Monty 12 for sale in Maine

Monty 12 with trailer. Boat will need work before use. Reason for selling: too many boats. In Surry, Maine. We are about a forty minute drive south from Bangor. Trailer is good and will be ready to go on road. Has mast, sails in decent condition--as far as I can tell it is all there. $600. I never got it in the water so I can't tell you anything about the boat's handling. Burt
