Hi again Robbin, Sean has been there, done that. But you probably know that from following this BB list for years. My personal experience with Interprotect 2000 is that is a great barrier coat, seals well, and I have never had any blister issues after using it on my M17. If memory serves (without looking at my records) I did six coats in 1997. I followed with Micron CSC. Hello Robbin, Great pictures, looks like you are really making progress with your new M23. Nice work on the rudder restoration. Man, you wouldn't want THAT centerboard to drop on your foot! I can't comment on the bushing, I don't know if mine had one. Perhaps Jerry remembers. Did you sell your M17? I have a WI sailing buddy who is looking for one. I love to see some interior pictures of your boat. What is your plan for bottom paint? Centerboard pennant question

Having just owned M17 #622 (2003) for a little over a year, I am not sure what shape the centerboard pennant line is in. So far so good, but I want to do some preventative maintenance on it and try to be prepared with the correct materials. I can sling it up off the trailer to check it at a friends shop with his large forklift. There is a chandlery not to far that I can go to when I do the deed. I am asking what I am going to see when I do this. 1. Does the C/B drop far enough to expose the line? 2. Will I have to remove the pin I have seen discussed on this forum to get access to the line? 3. How is the line fastened to the board? Is the rope line spliced to a wire? Looped through an eye in the board or with a knot in a recess? Thanks for any advice. Bill M17 Makin' Time * *

Hi All, Gail and I just returned to Golden from Annapolis Thursday night. We’re still recovering (Denver-Sacramento-Annapolis-Denver). We’d like to thank Jerry and his buds for doing such a magnificent job on the boat. It was quite an experience to watch the design and skill come together into a boat. Jerry is such a wealth of information, both in design and mold making. We are very pleased with progress so far. We’d also like to thank all who came by to see the boat and chat at the show. There was a surprising amount of interest for this Pocket Cruiser. We received many good suggestions from experienced sailors. Thanx much for all of the kind comments here as well. It's appreciated. The folks posting here on MSOG are the most knowledgeable we've found on Jerry's boats. We’ll bring the boat back to Jerry next week to complete the prototype and finish the interior mold. (back on the road again). There’s still lots to do. The gray color was Jerry’s preference for “his” boat. He saw Mike’ s M15 in Monterey and liked the color scheme. The color is in the gel coat so any color is possible. The web-site is waiting on me. Apologies. I’ve been traveling so much that I’ve not been able to get to it. Hole in the bottom of my boat

Hey guys, I need your help. I bought a 74 M-17 that has been neglected. On the bottom was a threaded hole about 2" across, about 12" forward of the battery and porti-potty bracket right on the center of the hull. I think it is a transducer or depth gauge sticking out of that hole. There is a round piece attached to a wire hanging out from the hole. Am I right? Kendall
