Peo, Your mum called yesterday, she was terribly worried about you and wanted to know what those small mushrooms - those that make up such a sizeable part of your diet - really are. I pointed out that I've never actually met you and know little more of your diet thab what is obvious from your posts (hence the 'shrooms, as well as burgers, I take it), and after a few mutual sympathetic tut-tuts we parted in all amicability. (I have a way with women you see.) Cutting the proverbial crap, I divine the following from your most recent posting, so long I think even OhJay must have heaved a sigh: The Paris 760228 gig and radio broadcast is indeed available on CD, and is released under the name "Somewhere In Europe". No, really? Heh, didn't know that. AS you seem to have gathered, I did indeed think you referred to the "Concert Classics" album. See, I remember not the other name under which it was issued. The only 1976 recording I have, the Paris gig from the Machine bootleg, doesnt have the vocoded intro at all (I mean the "Meine damen und herren" one, that they used for ages), but starts at the Göethe poem intro to Kometenmelodie. Search the archive for info on the actual words, though, as I dont remember them. We had a discussion about these on the list. Spanish industrial act Proyecto Mirage start their first tour on U.S.A. The dates and places they'll play at are as follows: 17 August: Dallas 21 August: Phoenix 23 August: Salt Lake City 24 August: Chicago 25 August: San Francisco 26 August: Los Angeles Proyecto Mirage, who got several influences from Kraftwerk, Esplendor Geometrico and Aphex Twin to name a few, have played in Maschinenfest 2000 (Aachen), Wave Gotik Treffen - Pfingsten 2000 (June Leipzig, Germany), Experimentaclub '00 and '01 (Madrid, Spain), VII Revoltallo de Musica Emerxente (Monte Dos Pozos Valladares, Vigo, Spain), Club U4 of Vienna (Austria) and many more. Mount Sims to follow Ladytron's path?

The following has been taken from Belgian music magazine Side-Line newsletter nº151: The LA based act Mount Sims is a new act signed at Emperor Norton Records, the label who already took care of Ladytron. On the band's first release, "Ultra Sex", Mount Sims, a.k.a. Matt Sims brings attractive electropop that for sure will please the fans of Ladytron, Kraftwerk and early Depeche Mode. "Ultra Sex" will be out on September 17th. Below you can download a track from the album called "How We Do". Nice to know, Mount Sims sexually and bpm-charged live presentation features the skills of two particularly skillful erotic dancers. In the meantime Mount Sims re-entered the studio with producer Mickey Petralia (Ladytron) to record four extra tracks for the US version of "Ultra Sex".
