I've been listening to the 1976 intro, and I read on Aktivitaet that it was the normal, "Mein Damen und Herren...", but it has to be different than the one they used after the release of "Die Mensch Maschine"...does anyone know it? September 1998 issue of Debug magazine featured an interview with Komputer, in which they talked about Kraftwerk: "Why is Komputer spelled with a K? A homage to Kraftwerk? 'It simply looks nicer', says David. [...] 'It has nothing to do with Kraftwerk. We don't copy them, they're too lazy. One album in ten years is indiscutable. But maybe we're working on a similar idea.' [...]". I prefer vinyl -- because the covers are better at 7 and 12 inch size than reduced to 120 mm square and trapped inside a jewel case. The only creatively packaged Kraftwerk CD (i.e. which uses the format in an interesting way unique to the format) has been the German issue of EXPO2000, with the kinetik graphic effect. And sound? Well that depends as much on your hifi as what's been coded or pressed on the relevant disk, IMO. -------------------------------------------------------- You too can have your own email address from Eurosport. http://www.eurosport.com
